The thunder and lightning
which we hada week ago last
Sunday night is said to be a
sign of open weather, al-
though it doesn't seem to be
working that way just now.
Maybe this snow will all
disappear again.
Christmas entertainment
is well under way now with
Christmas concerts, bingos
and card parties, and by
reports they are all being
well attended.
Congratulations to the
Teeswater No. 3 club who
presented an exhibit at the
4-H achievement, day last
Saturday. Joanne and Chris-
tine Bregman, twoof the
members, live near this
district and Ann Webster,
another member, lived at
Langside a short time ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Rouse of Edmonton) visited
with her sister, Mr. and Mrs.
Wesley Young, of Lucknow,
for a few days a week ago.
They plan to stay in Ontario
visiting with relatives till
after Christmas, which they
plan to spend with their son,
Mr. and Mrs. Bill. Helm, and
family . of Oshawa. Wesley
and Edna visited with Mr.
and Mrs. Rouse in Edmonton
last summer.
We are sorry to report that
Mrs. Reulie de Boer is a
patient in London hospital.
We hope she *ill soon be
able to be home again. •
Mr. and Mrs. Dave Moffat
visited on Sunday, December
3 with Mr. and Mrs. Dave
Bridle and girls of Wellesley,
near Kitchener. The Bridle
family owned the farm across
the road from Dave Moffat's
and have lately sold the farm
to a family from the Kitchen-
er area.
Mr. and Mrs. Jones and
Chris have moved into their
new home which they built
this summLr on the former
Jim Moffat farm, across the
road from Mrs. Jones' par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Wynne. We welcome the
Jones family to this neigh-
bourhood.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Young,
Marty, Jamie, Karen and
Liane, Ken Young and Rus-
sell Springer were dinner

honour of Karen and Liane's
birthdays which bothfall in
December.
The Whitechurch Presby-
terian Young Peoples held
their regular meeting on
Sunday evening at the
manse. The Sunday School
concert is to be held Friday
evening, December 22 in the
basetnent of the church.

for Mr. and Mrs. Tom Howie
(nee Judy Warden), a sister

Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Neab-
el's at Caledon on Sunday.
All enjoyed a good get-
together.
Broomball is now under-
way at the Lucknow arena
every Tuesday night, begin-
ning at 8.00 p.m. All teams
