Leddy, Lucknow, John O'Connor, Kingsbridge and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Leddy, Wingham, celebrated Ray- mond Leddy's birthday on a - Sunday recently at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Bill And- rews, Michael and Todd. Father E. Dentinger and Brother Carl Voll were even- ing visitors. Mrs. P. Murray and Jack Murray, Royal Oak, Michi- gan, were weekend visitors with John O'Connor, Kings- bridge. They also visited relatives in St. Augustine, Lucknow and Goderich. Mrs. Abbie Russell, of Kingarf, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Stanley of Luck - now. _. Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Stanley visited recently with Mr. and Mrs. Tony Bedford and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Tollefson and family of Mississauga. Mrs. Violet MacKenzie visited recently with Dr. and Mrs. K.J. MacKenzie in Listowel and while there attended "Scotland on Parade" which was presented at "Humanities Theatre", Waterloo on Nov. 23. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Mc - Charles visited in Petrolia with Mr. and Mrs. John McCharles and their new baby, Ryan. Obituaries A. ELLEN HENDERSON Mrs. A. Ellen Henderson, Wingham, formerly of Wal- lace Township, died in her 58th year at University Hos- pital, London on November 24, 1978. She was a member of Wingham United Church and the U.C.W. Born in Wallace Township on June 17, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Perry Brisbin and the late Myrtle Buchanan. She married Jackson R. Henderson in Wingham on July 23, 1948. They resided in Wallace Township "before moving to Wingham in 1974. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Peter, of Palmerston and Alex, at home, and two daughters, Jane, Mrs. Daniel McLean, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and Linda, at home. Four brothers, Jim Bris- bin, Aylmer; Alex Brisbin, Kitchener; Robert Brisbin, Wallace Township and Ed- ward Brisbin, Palmerston, and a sister, Margaret, Mrs. Michael Baly of Welland, also survive, as well as four grandchildren. The funeral was held from the Robert Trench Funeral Home, Listowel, on Tuesday, November 28, 1978, at 2 p.m. Rev. Barry Passmore con- ducted the service. Burial followed in Palmer- ston Cemetery. Flower bearers were Alex Robinson, Bruce McDonald and Percy . McComb. Pallbearers were Douglas Henderson, Terry Hender- son, Verdun Zurbrigg, Paul Brisbin, Doug Brisbin and Don Brisbin. JOHN FORSYTH • The death occurred at the Wingham and -District Hosp- ital on Tuesday, November 7th, 1978, of the dearly beloved John Forsyth of R. R. # 2, Holyrood, Ontario, dear husband of the former Mary Ruetz, in his 78th year. Dear father of Walter of Holyrood; Wallace, Nicholas and Jack of Walkerton; Le- ona (Mrs. George Burrell) of Calgary,. Alberta; Eileen (Mrs. Ron Nash) of London; Helen (Mrs. Leo Mundy) of Petrolia, Ontario and Ann Forsyth of Walkerton. Also *survived by 28 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Predeceased by one son Albert, one daughter Marie, one grandchild, and one great grandchild. The remains rested at the Tanner and Pearson Funeral Home, Walkerton, until Thursday morning, thence to St. Anne's R.C. Church at Riversdale, for Mass of the Christian Burial at 10;30 a.m. Interment took place in St. Anne's Cemetery. . .
