The week began with ,a
Monday game against Tees -
water. The boys played well,
particularly the Triple D, but
were too kind to their visit-
ors. The first star of the
game was the Teeswater
goalie who was fantastic in
the second period.
Goals for Lucknow came
from .Chris Collyer and Dan-
ny Gilchrist. Assists went to
Dean Dickson and Steve
Murray, Final score Tees -
water 4 - Lucknow 2.
On Tuesday, the Atoms
were back to Teeswater for a
re -match. 'Again the boys-
proved
oysproved to play their best
hockey in the final period,
thanks to a couple of . good
checking shifts by Becker, de
Jong and Durnin. After a
good team effort the boys
settled for a tie.
The scoresheet read Dan-
ny Gilchrist from Richard
MacDonald, Danny Gilchrist
unassisted and Rick Bechard
from Steve Murray.
In Saturday's game in
Wingham, the second year
players had a warm-up for
their London game. They got
heated up, all right! Both
teams played good free -skat-
ing hockey with good scoring
chances and lots of crowd -
pleasing action. Wingham
appeared to have a victory
but with 28 seconds on the
clock the boys tied the game.
