The local lads proved unwelcome hosts beating Wingham 12-6. • The first •period proved rather hectic as nine goals were scored. Lucknow open- ed the scoring with two goals by Doug Stevenson and Kevin Murray but Wingham came back tieing the game with goals from Gary Lisle and Murray Black. Lucknow went ahead on Kevin (Claus) Murray's second goal of the evening. Wingham then tied up again 3-3, and went ahead 4-3 on a goal by Lisle. Two penalties by Rick Jacklin proved to be Wing - ham's undoing as Lucknow scored two power play goals from John MacKenzie and Carl Stanley. This made the score 5-4 at the end of the first period. In the second period Luck - now scored four times and Wingham twice. Lucknow scorers were Carl Stanley, Don Enright, Kevin Murray and Mike (Hogback) Court- ney. Wingham goals were scored by Gary Lisle, who made it four for the night. The score at the end of the second was 9-6. The third period was all Lucknow's as.
