The R,D.S. students will
be starting to study. for their
exams which start on Nov-
ember 10th and end' on
November 15th. Good luck
goes to everyone!
SCHOOL JACKETS
The high school is ordering
new school jackets. Measure-
ments were taken last week
and orders will be sent away
in the next couple of weeks
so keep your eyes open for
the flashy new jackets! Also,
the students are to have their
down payments in by this
week.

The Library had a display
this week from the Royal
Ontario Museum called
"Shakespeare's England".
There were three trays con-
taining artifacts from the
seventeenth century such as
needlepoint,, lace and the
mechanism of a wheel -lock
gun, Most classes have seen
the display.
Mrs. Dodds has the names
of the members of the choir.

Obituaries
DONALD A. McFARLAN
Donald Alexander McFar-
lan, a trustee on the Kin -
lough Board of Education for
15 years, died suddenly at
his home in Kinloss Town-
ship on October 25, 1978. He
was 75.
A farmer, he was born in
Kinloss on September 11,
1903, the son of the late
Daniel McFarlan and the late
Rebecca. Bushell. He married
Mary Jones in Bluevale on
January 5, 1935.
He is survived by his wife,
two daughters, Winnifred,
Mr's: Howard Orr, Kincar-
dine, and Helen, Kitchener,
and five sons, Ivan, Green-
ock Township; James, at
home . Elmer, Wingham;
Leonard, Guelph; and Allan,
Kinlough. He is also surviv-
ed by 13 grandchildren.
He is survived as well by
two brothers, Thomas, Kin -
lough and John, Lucknow.
He was predeceased by a
sister, Annie and a brother,
William.
The funeral was held on
— October 28;978 at 2 p.m,
from the MacKenzie and
McCreath Funeral Home in
Lucknow. Rev. G. Thompson
officiated.
Flower bearers were his
grandchildren, Sharon Orr,
Kevin Orr, Ken McFarlan,
Ron McFarlan, Stephen Mc-
Farlan; Douglas McFarlan,
Dale McFarlan, Donnie Mc-
Farlan, Debbie Osborne and
Kim McFarlan.
Pallbearers were Walter
'Collins, Bert Nicholson,
Stewart. Lane, Keith Kers-
lake, Don Robertson and Don
Dore.
Burial followed in South
Kinloss Cemetery.
MADELINE C. DURNIN '
Madeline Cecile Durnin,
West Wawanosh, died in
University Hospital, London,
on Friday, October 20, 1978,
in her 77th year.
She was born in West
Wawanosh Township on
December 31, 1901, a daugh-
ter of the late Joseph Gaunt,
West Wawanosh and the late
Mary Anne Perdue, formerly
of . Clinton:
She married Earl Durnin,
West Wawanosh. Township
on September 30, 1937 in the
Anglican Church, Lucknow.
Besides her husband she is
survived by her sisters,
Majeska, Mrs. John Scott,
London; Jean, Mts. Fred
Johnston, Ashfield and Jose-
phine, Mrs. Gordon MacTav-
ish, West Wawanosh and her
brothers, Ernest Gaunt,
West Wawanosh and Harold
Gaunt, .West. Wawanosh.
The funeral was , held on
October 23, 1978 at the
MacKenzie and McCreath
Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Rev.
A. Cook of Calvin United
Church, -St. -Helens, conduct-
-ed the service.
Burial followed in Green-
hill Cemetery, Lucknow.
Flower bearers were Jack
Scott, Harold Scott, and Ken
Phillips.

Morrow. She was born on
May 11, 1880. On December

She is survived by three
sons, Alvin of Goderich, Jack
of Lucknow, and William of
Kintail.
She was predeceased by
her husband in 1937. One
son, Harold, one great
grandson and a sister and
four brothers also predeceas-
ed her.

October 20, 1978 at 2 p.m. in
Lucknow at the MacKenzie
and McCreath Funeral
Home. Rev. Hugh. Nugent of
Ashfield Presbyterian
