Mrs. Harvie Thompson, Mrs. Randy McDonald and Kim and Mrs. Nettie Dore, holidayed on the weekend in Port Huron. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Elliott, Kincardine spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. John Farrell and family. Thanksgiving day visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Elliott were Mr. and Mrs. John Farrell and family, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Greenwood and boys and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Elliott. Bob Thompson visited in London on Sunday with his father. Harvie is a patient in Victoria Hospital. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Don Thompson on the arrival of their son, Jeremy William Edward. Mr. and Mrs. Al Irwin, Lucknow and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Nicholson, visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Greene, Arthur, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hutchinson and family, Kincardine, visited on Satur- ZIPPY TRINETTES II 4-H The sixth meeting of Zippy Trinittes II was held on October 19 at Trinity United Church. President, Karen Campbell, called the meeting to order. A buffet supper, prepared by the members was enjoy- ed. Each of the members introduced themselves and their. guests. The leader, Mrs. Greg Blake introduced the special guests, the execu- tive of the U.C.W., Mrs. Doug Raynard, Mrs. Chester Hackett, Mrs. Blake Alton, Mrs. Donald I Hackett, and Mrs. Warren Zinn. Mrs. day with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Collins, Jennifer, Angela and David. Mrs, Norval Stanley and Mrs. Morley Scott visited in Wiarton on Thursday with Isobel's mother, Mrs. Alex Blue. Mr. and Mrs. Don Robert- son had as their guests on Thanksgiving Day, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard MacDonald, Lucknow; Mr. and Mrs. Jim MacDonald and Johanna, London; Miss Margaret Rob- ertson, Lucknow, and Mrs. Martha Huston, Ripley. Mrs. Burton Collins, Mrs. Morley Scott and Mrs. How- art Thompson enjoyed a play in Stratford on Wednesday night. Mr. and Mrs. Don Robert- son, Mrs. Russell Collins, Miss Margaret Robertson, and Mrs. Martha Huston motored to Thornbury on Monday. Mr. and. Mrs. Jack Farrell visited with friends in Maple and Toronto on the weekend. Mrs. Cecil Sutton, Mrs. Don Robertson and Mrs. Jack Farrell attended the. W.I. convention • in South- ampton. Donald Hackett and Mrs. ' Chester Hackett thanked the girls. The members put on the skits, which they will present on Achievement Day; before the closing of the 'meeting. KAIRSHEA 4-H Kairshea Metric Magicians held their fifth meeting at the home of Mrs. Clarence Ritchie. Whitechurch Nancy Haldenby read the minutes of the previous meeting. Karen Doelman assisted Mrs. Ritchie make Maple Treasure. Tom Downey, Karen Doelman and Molly McBride made Superior Steak. Menu planning was discussed and the Meat and Vegetable I.Q. and Salad Knowhow were com- pleted. They sampled the steak and Pink Velvet for dessert. The club held their Hallowe'en Party on Saturday at the Kairshea Hall, The members in- vited friends to join in their fun and all arrived at the party in costume. Winners in the costume contest were Carol Buch- Meier and Sandra Smith, first; Susan Leybourn, second and Cheryl Lot- ten, third. Plans for Achievement Day were discussed. Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Carl McClenaghan and Mrs. Ben McClenaghan were Mr. and Mrs. Doug Parker, Chrissy and Steven and Mrs. Eileen Parker of Exeter; Mr. and Mrs. Irwin McClenaghan of St. Thomas spent the weekend at the McClenaghan home. To celebrate Stewart Wil- liam Rintoul's baptism his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Rintoul, Steven and Ross had the following guests, Mrs. Matt Card of Brussels, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rintoul, grand- parents, Whitechurch; Mr. and Mrs. Dave Oberholtzer and family, Waterloo; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Robinson and Mark, Belgrave; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Stiles, Goderich; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Park and, Dree, Dungannon. Mrs. Bill' Rintoul returned to Waterloo with Mr. and Mrs. Oberholt- zer for a few days visit. WHiTECHURCH 4-11 Janet Laidlaw opened the fifth meeting of the White- church Goodie Chew -Chews. Lori Jamieson read the min- utes of the previous meeting. The trip to the Royal Winter Fair was discussed. Mrs. Elliott discussed menu planning, energy conserva- tion, small appliances and gelatin. treats. Mary Moore demonstrated sifting flour to show the difference between the am- ount of sifted and non -sifted. Mary also demonstrated cod Italians, Mrs. Archie Purdon demonstrated colourful fruit cocktail loaf. Lorie Purdon did Maple Syrup Treasure. All .members sampled the food made.
