A quartet of ladies from
Lucknow W.I., Mrs. MacGil-
livray, Mrs. Gibson, Mrs.
Wraith and Mrs. Barger,
sang two lovely old numbers.
The standing committee
reports were given, after
which the ladies were enter-
tained by another ladies'
quartet from Whitechurch

talent. Mrs. Don Bell led the
ladies in a "Health Hussle"
showing how out of shape
most are.

Mrs. Cliff Rouiston intro-
duced the guest speaker,
from Glengarry County, Mr.
Hamish MacLeod, a former
Ag. Rep. He was also
general manager of U.C.O.
He spoke on "Canadian
Unity". He stated that if the
News Media and the Politic-
ians would keep their views
to themselves everyone
would be better off, as in
most cases what you read in
the papers is not what the
ordinary people of Quebec
think at all, or the conditions
actually existing. He gave
out petitions to be signed and
sent to the Members of Par-
liament by interested people
in hopes that it would help in
keeping Canada united.
Mrs. Gordon Wall thanked
Mr. MacLeod for his inter-
esting and though provoking
speech and presented him
with- a gift. A humorous
reading, given by Mrs. Bill
MacPherson, from Holyrood
Institute, was much enjoyed
by all.. Mrs. Evan Keith and
Mrs. Don MacKinnon each
conducted a contest.
A bounteous lunch was
served by the directors in
charge. Courtesies were giv-
en by Merle Wilson of
Whitechurch, Mrs. Mary
MacGillivray of Lucknow,
and Mrs. Bessie Maulden of
Holyrood. Mrs. Gordon Wall
replied.
