Ripley. The soloist, Mary
Anne Alton, R. 2 Lucknow,
sang "Wedding Prayer" and
"We've Only Just Begun".
The bride given in marri-
age by her parents, wore a
dress of white silk organza
fashioned 'on Empire lines.
The bodice, featuring a sheer
yoke re -embroidered with
alunion lace with a cameo
inset, Was, trimmed in V
effect with a narrow pleated
ruffle. Similar trim was used
at the neckline on the long
full sleeves. The full skirt fell
into a built in train and was
completely outlined at the
• hemline with a wide pleated
ruffle. The head piece, a
Juliet cap, held in place her
shoulder -length veil of tulle
illusion edged in matching.

baby's breath with white silk
ribbon hanging.
The bride was attended by
her sister, Elizabeth Ritchie,
Lucknow, as : maid of honour
and as bridesmaids, Nancy
Aitchison, R. 7 Lucknow,

both sisters of the bride and
Kathy Pentland, R. 6 Goder-
ich, sister of the groom.
The senior' attendants were
gowned alike in long dresses
of quiana in rainbow shades. •
The bodice had a capelet
effect edged in matching lace
with a bow at the neckline..
The Junior bridesmaid was
Laurie Pentland, R. 6 • God-
erich, sister of the . groom.
She wore a dress in the shade
of yellow with short puffy
sleeves and a bow at the
• back.
All the bridesmaids car-
ried fireside baskets with
•sweetpeas matching their
,' diesses white daisies,
.. baby's breath and matching

bows. They wore matching
cornflowers in their hair.
The flower girl., Becky
Ackert, Holyrood, friend of
the bride, wore a peach• dress
matching the maid of hon-
our. Her dress had short
puffy sleeves with bows at
neckline and waist. Her
headband was of corn flow-
ers in rainbow shades. She
carried a basket similar to
the bridesmaids.
A friend of the groom,
Mike Hackett, R. 7 Lucknow,
was best man and Bill
Bouden, Goderich, friend of
the groom; Doug Aitchison,
R. 7 Lucknow, brother-in-law
of the bride.; Don Ritchie, R.
3 Lucknow, friend of the
groom, and Paul Pentland,
R. 6 Goderich, brother of the
groom, ushered the guests.
The rings were carried by
the bride's cousin Andrew
Ritchie, R. 2 St. Thomas.
Murray Irvin, R. 7 .Luck -
now, greeted the guests as
they arrived.
The 'groom's attendants
wore tuxedos to match his
beige with dark brown trim.
The groom and ringbearer
wore beige trousers and .the
attendats wore brown. The.
groom and ringbearer wore
roses and the other attend-
ants wore white carnations in
their lapels.
A reception followed at the
Wingham Lgion which was
decoraged with white and
yellow streamers. Music was
provided by Disc Jockey
Maurice Dragon of Listowel.
The bride's mother receiv-
ed guests wearing a mint
green dress with a matching
waist length jacket with ties
at Tthe neckline. Her corsage
was a single mauve orchid.
The groom's mother as-
sisted wearing a blue dress
with pleats .from the waist
down. Her flowers were red
roses and, baby's breath.
For travelling to Niagara
Falls and the U.S.A. the
bride . and groom chose
matching three piece outfits
of beige polyester. The bride
• wore a corsage of red roses
and the groom had a red
sweethear rose in his lapel.
The couple will reside in
Lucknow. ' The , groom is
employed at Helm Welding,
Lucknow and the bride is a
secretary at John W. ,Hend-
erson Lumber Ltd., Luck -
now.

ia, Australia, ,Alberta, Ot-
tawa, .Napanee, Sarnia, Tore
onto, Goderich and Lucknow.

olic Church, Kingsbridge,
decorated with yellow gladi-
oli, mums, daisies and light-
ed tapers in candelabra, was
the setting for a pretty
wedding on Saturday, Aug-
ust.26, 1978 at 4 p.m. uniting
in marriage Virginia Anne
Chisholm and David L.
Caesar. Reverand Father Ed
Dentinger officiated at the
double ring ceremony.
Virginia is the daughter of
Leonard and Olive Chisholm
of Dungannan and David is
the son of .Joyce Caesar, and
the late Paul Caesar, R. R. 1
Dungannon.
Given in marriage by her
parents, the bride looked
lovely in a floor -length gown
of white sheer silk organza
over white satin polyester
and taffeta styled with an
empire waistline. The gown
featured a Queen Anne neck-
line with a mandarin collar
and three -tiered ruffled cap
sleeves. The neckline and
bodice of the gown were
appliqued with guipure lace.
A deep double ruffle at the
bottom of the gown flowed
into a chapel -length train.
Thirty-nine 'tiny organza -cov-
ered buttons adorned the
back 'of the gown. A Juliette
cap held her two-tiered
hip -length silk illusion veil
which was encircled by a
chain of miniature daisy
trim. She, carried a cascade
bouquet of deep pink sonya
roses, pink carnations, white
daisies . and baby's breath.
She wore an opal necklace,
matching opal earrings, and
a gold watch, gifts. from the
groom.
Maid of honour was Leola
Chisholm, of Dungannon,
sister of the bride. She wore
a floor -length gown of apple -
green polyesterfeaturing
narrow straps and a ruffled
bodice, complimented by a
green floral chiffon cape. She
carried a cascade bouquet of
• yellow roses, miniature yel-
low carnations, white daisies
and green baby's . breath
tinted to match her dress:
She wore a gold opal
necklace, a gift from the
bride.
vows at August wedding
The bridesmaids were An-
ita Doherty, G\pderich, friend
of the bride, t and Maureen
Harris, Dungannon, friend of
the bride and groom. They
were gowned identically to
the maid of honour and
carried identical bouquets.
Anita and Maureen wore
gold opal •necklaces, gifts
from the bride. Flower girl
was. Jacqui Dawson, Dun-
gannon. She was also dres-
sed identical to the maid of
honour. She carried a smaller
bouquet and wore a gold
engraved bracelet, a gift
from the bride.
Groomsman was Grant
Johnston, R. R. 2 Auburn,
friend of the groom. Ushers
were Colin Chisholm, Dun-
gannon, brother of the bride,
and Ken Phillips, R. R. 7
Lucknow, friend of the
groom. Ringbearer was Mas-
ter Paul Dawson, Dungan-
non.
The groom was attired in a
Camelot tuxedo with gold
buckskin_ colour jacket and
trousers with brown velvet
trim, brown velvet vest and
bow tie. His boutonniere was
a deep pink rose with white
baby's breath. He wore a
gold wrist watch, a gift from
the bride.
The male attendants were
similarily attired except with
brown trousers and they
wore yellow carnation bout-
onnieres.
Wedding music was play-
ed by Miss Marianne
Frayne. Soloists were Mrs.
Nancy Park and Marianne
Frayne. Marianne . sang
"You Light Up My Life",
just before the processional.
During communion Nancy
sang "The Greatest Gift".
During the .signing of the
register, Marianne sang,
"The First . Time Ever I Saw
Your Face" and Nancy sang,
"Someday, Somewhere".
The recessional was "Ode To
Joy".
Joanne and Charles Craw-
ford, cousins of the bride,
read .a passage from the
Bible during the Mass. Alex
and Lynn Chisholm, brother
and sister-in-law of the
bride, carried the Sacra -
CAESAR -. CHISHOLM
ments during the Offetory.
Following the • wedding,
the guests were invited to the
bride's home to view the
gifts. The wedding dinner
and ,reception followed at
Saltford Valley Hall. Music
for the reception was sup-
plied by Southern Comfort.
The hall was decorated with
white bells, green, yellow
and white streamers. A
round three -tiered wedding
cake decorated with yellow
roses and daisies, adorned
the head table.
The bride's mother greet-
ed guests in a baby blue
polyester floor -length gown
featuring a matching bolero -
style jacket trimmed with
embroidery. She wore a
corsage ` of pink roses, white
daisies and baby's breath.
The groom's mother wore
a floor -length polyester floral
gown featuring a matching
long-sleeved . jacket. She
wore a corsage of pink roses.
For a wedding trip to the
Eastern United States, the
bride changed to a baby blue
cocktail length dress featur-
ing cap sleeves, a mandarin
collar and a full pleated skirt.
She wore a corsage of red
roses and baby's breath. The
groom was attired in a light
blue three-piece suit and
wore a boutonniere of one
red rose with baby's breath.
Prior to the wedding the
bride was feted . at a girl
friend shower co -hosted by
Leola and Lynn Chisholm at
Lynn Chisholm's home; and
at a community shower held
at Dungannon Agricultural
Hall.
The °bride and groom were
also honoured at a stag and
doe party held at Auburn
Community. Centre. It° was
put on by friends of the bride
and groom. Music for • the
evening was supplied by
Bitter Sweet.
Following the rehearsal
the wedding party and family
and friends were entertained
at the home of groom's
mother at R. R. 1 Dungan-
non.
Mr. and Mrs. David Caes-
ar are residing at Apt. 1, 210
Keays Street, Goderich. The
groom is employed by Del-
mar Sproul Construction and
the bride is employed by the
Canadian Imperial Bank of
Commerce, Auburn. '
