Their family was home to celebrate the happy occasion. They have four children, Ellen, Mrs. Glen Springer, Tillson- burg; Harold, Dungannon;, • John, Dungannon; Gordon, Lucknow. The couple have 25 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The side steps at Whitechurch Community Memorial Hall are being repaired. New sidewalk is being poured down in front of Tom Days property. The new sidewalk bordering highway 86 at the east end of the village, hasmost of the fill in but not levelled. On Thursday evening Joe Tiffin attended an executive meeting of Stratford musici- ans local 401 held at St. Marys. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tiffin, Joey and Mrs. Orville Tiffin visited at Kitchener with Mr. and Mrs. Dave McGlynn and baby,. Wayne. Mr. and Mrs. Don Habkirk of Milton visited Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Laidlaw and family. • Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wright of Wingham held a 25th wedding celebration on Saturday evening for her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Stewart, of Teeswater. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Laidlaw at- tended the celebration. The community extends congrat- ulations to Mr. and Mrs. Stewart. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Laidlaw, Janet and Kimberley and her mother; Mrs. Crowston of Lucknow, were at Niagara Falls. Miss Doreen Wilson of Toronto visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Beecroft and Karen, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pur don arrived home Saturday from their tour of England, Ireland and Scotland where they experienced lovely sunny weather most of the time. • Frank McBurney of the West and Harry Webster of Auburn were Friday callers on Mrs. Earl Caslick of Wingham. The Young Peoples Society held their meeting Sunday evening at the manse with an attendance of 18.
