Holyrood residents attend fair
BY LYNNE NICOLSON
Well readers, fall is setting
in. I heard that this damp
weather will bring about the
change of .colour on trees
more quickly, so ewe should
be expecting the beautiful
array of reds and oranges
quite soon. Then it will look
like autumn as well as feel
like it.
Fall brings about many
things such as fall fairs and
sure enough the weather
held out for it's thirteenth
consecutive year. The Luck -
now Fall Fair was officially
opened under a warm sun
that continued to shine for
the rest of the day. Children
from this area participated in
a ' very successful parade
which' was led by two horse
riders and the . Lucknow
Concert Band. The band also
played a few numbers at the
Opening Ceremonies with
master of ceremonies, Mur-
ray Gaunt.
I noticed as 1 walked
around the Fall Fair exhibits
that a few area people had
won prizes. Amy Gingrich
received two firsts in her
writing entries. Amy is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O•.
Gingrich of Holyrood. Also of
Holyrood was Susan Meyer
who won first place in the
Poster contest. Mrs. G.
Murray of R. R. 1 Holyrood
received awards for her
entries such as craft exhibits,
