Noisy Ladies advance
by defeating Sailorettes
The Lucknow Noisy Ladies
won their playoff opener
against the Goderich Sailor-
ettes in two straight games.
The final score was 16 to '8 in
the deciding game last
Thursday night in. Goderich.
Lori Pegg set the pace by
hitting the team's first home
run of the playoffs.
Tough opposition will be
provided this week by the
Goderich Elevators who were
undefeated during the regul-
ar season.
The first "game of this
semi-final series will be
Thursday -night.
Pee Wee hockey
team has corn roast
Mr. and Mrs, Ken Alton
were hosts to a barbecue and
corn roast at their home on
Wednesday, August 23 for
last season's Pee Wee Hock-
ey team and their families.
After -a delicious and
satisfying meal, manager
Wayne Jerome and coach
James Montgomery were
each presented with a wallet
as a token of appreciation for
the time they spent with the
team. George Alton and Paul
Pickard made the presenta-
tion.
The boys of the team and
their families enjoyed the
social time together and are
grateful to Mr. and Mrs.
Alton for providing the
opportunity.

summer with the Thompson

Harvey, Pat and Kirk
Livingston travelled to
Brampton on Saturday where'
they attended the wedding of
Pat's cousin. Kirk stayed in
Georgetown with his grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Khem
Kuipers for a short holiday.

quarter finals
Lucknow Intermediates
will start their best of three
W.O.A.A. quarter finals
when they journey to Fullar-
ton this Thursday. The
second game' will be played
in Lucknow on Tuesday,
September 5 or Wednesday,
September 6 at 9.00 p.m.
