Rintoiid wins Grand Campion Heifer at Orillia Fair

Rintoul who won Grand
Championship Hereford
Heifer at the Orillia Fair. He
competed against a heifer for
which $5,000 was tieing
asked.
On Monday last Mrs. Carl
McClenaghan attended a
shower for bride-to-be, Glor-
ia Gollan.
Tuesday last Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Dobie of Paris visited
with Mrs.. Ben McClenaghan
and Mr. and Mrs. Carl
McClenaghan.
Mrs. Eileen Parker, Jennie
Parker of Exeter and Dena
Graham of Burlington were
weekend guests at the Mc-
Clenaghan home.
On Sunday Mr. and Mrs.
Ron McClenaghan of St.
Thomas visited Mr. and Mrs.
Carl McClenaghan and Mrs.
Ben McClenaghan.

Mr. and Mrs. Brian Fal-
coner of Sarnia spent the
weekend with her parents,

Paul Falconer spent the
weekend with Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Mowbray and his
parents, Mr. and Mrs, Reli-
son Falconer and Lynn who
had spent holidays with her
grandmother, Mrs. Stacey of
Wingham.
Congratulations to Janene
Purdon, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Purdon, River side -
road, on bringing honours to
the community by being one
of the Ontario Scholars at F.
E. Madill High School. She
hopes to attend Western
Ontario University this fall.
Mr. and Mrs. James
Wilson of Winghant have
sold their house and have
moved into the small apart-
ment belonging to her father,
Robert Mowbray, until a
larger one is available. What
they couldn't take to the
'Apartment they stored at the
home of Mrs. Agnes Farrier.
On Wednesday last Mrs.
Lorne Durnin and Mrs. Fred
Tiffin on behalf of the
Whitechurch Card Club pre-
sented Mrs. Doris Willis who
had moved to Bluevale, with
a gift from the club:
Colleen and Steven Durnin
of St. Helens spent holidays
last week .with their grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorne
Durnin.

ust meeting will be held

ELWYN ROSS FEAGAN
Elwyn Ross Feagan, Nile,
died at Alexandra Marine
and General Hospital in
Goderich on August 23, 1978
at the age of 50.
A farmer most of his life he
had been with Champion
Road Machinery for the last
six years.
He was born on August 3,
1928, the son of Carman
Isaac Feagan and Mildred
Fisher of Colborne Town-
ship, now of Goderich. He
lived in Colborne until he
moved to Nile in 1960.
He married Ann Jean
Pinder on Septeiriber 3, 1960
in Knox Presbyterian
Church, Goderich.
• He is survived by his wife,
and their children, Lynda
Ann, Laurie Ellen, Gregory
Elwyn, Glen Andrew and
Lisa Marie, all at home. He is
also survived by. his parents,
two sisters, Lois, Mrs. Grant
Farrish, .Lucknow; , and
Joyce, Mrs. Arnold Stothers,
Nile and one brother,
Wayne, Toronto.
The funeral was held at the
Stiles Funeral Home, Goder-
ich, at 1 p.m. on August 28,
1978 with Rev. Clyde West -
haver officiating.
Pallbearers • were Vern
Bean, Ron Pentland, Jack
Pentland, George Sillib,
Charlie Johnston and Lloyd
McLarty.
Burial followed in Col-
borne Township.
