can Church, Owen Sound on
July 29, 1978. Eileen Mul-
vaney was organist and G.
Wallace Ritchie was soloist.
Peach gladioli and yellow
daisy chrysanthemums dec-
orated the church.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Donald E.
Bell of Owen Sound.. The
groom's parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Ira A. Dickie of
Lucknow.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a gown
of satin and lace with double
bell sleeves, pearl detailing
and train. A beaded juliet
cap held a fingertip veil. She
carried a cascade of silk
roses, cherry blossoms and
'miniature carnations.
Mrs. Anne MacMillan was
matron of honour and Karen
Smart, Roberta Spence and
Kathleen Bell were brides-
maids. They wore floral
chiffon gowns and carried
nosegays of silk roses and
cherry blossoms.
Denver Dickie, Goderich,
was groomsman. David Bell, ,
Owen Sound, William Dick-
ie, Lucknow and Walter
Dickie, Agincourt ushered.
The groom wore a tan
jacket with brown trousers
while the attendants wore
tan tuxedos.
A reception at St. Mary's
Parish Hall followed the
ceremony.
The bride, a graduate of
Western University, is on the
Teaching Staff of Alexandra
Community School in Owen
Sound. The groom who has
his Master's Degree in Agri-
cultural Science from the
University of Guelph, is Beef
Cattle Extension Specialist
for the Ministry of Agricul-
ture and Food for midwest-
ern Ontario.
After a wedding trip to
California, Mr. " and Mrs.
Dickie are residing in Mark -
dale.

Holy Cross Church,
Kemptville was the scene of
a pretty wedding on July
15th when Piper Gail Murd-
och preceded the bridal party
into the church piping Col-
leen Maryln Kinnear to the
altar for her marriage. to
David Robert Newbold in the
presence of guests assembl-
ed from Calgary, West Palm
Beach, Cornwall,Burlington,
Saskatoon, Toronto, Luck -
now and Kemptville and
District. The marriage was
officiated by Father Donald
Cummings of Kemptville.
The bride is the daughter
of Mrs. Alfred Kinnear,
Kemptville; the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. George
Newbold of Lucknow, Ont-
ario:

brother, Bill Kinnear, the
bride's attendants were her

Kelly, niece of the bride was
flower girl, and Sean Kelly,
nephew of the bride was ring
bearer. ..
Jim Stirling, brother-in-
law of the groom assisted as
best man during the cere-
mony. Ushers were Ted
Johnston, Vic Steeper, Ken-
dall Mason, Patrick Kinnear,
James Robert Kinnear, Billy
;Hollywood and Tom Kelly.
Mrs. Early, the church
organist, accompanied the
guest soloist Allan Stewart of
Burlington as he sang
"Praise My Soul The King of
Heaven" and "0 Perfect
Love".
Mr. and Mrs. David New-
bold were piped from the
Church to the Kemptville
Legion Hall for their wedding
reception following the cere-
mony. Garnet Donnelly orch-
estra supplied the music.
After having returned
from a . two week honey-
moon, they have been resid-
ing in Lucknow.

The marriage of Sharon
Campbell, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Campbell of
Lucknow and Brad Pette -
place, son of Mr. and Mrs,.
Ron Petteplace of Teeswater
was solemnized at a double
ring ceremony on Saturday,
May 27th at 4 o'clock by Rev.
Doug Kaufman in the Luck -
now United Church.
The church was decorated
with white gladioli and red
mums. The pews were ad-
orned with white bows and
cloth flowers made of red and
white check fabric.
Organist, Mrs. Lilian Mc-
Callum, accompanied the
soloist, , Duncan McCallum,
who sang the Wedding
Prayer and You Light Up My
Life.
The bride, given in marri-
age by her father, chose a
gown of white eyelet. The
square neckline was trimmed
with eyelet as were the
sleeves to form a cap. The
dress was also trimmed with
a dainty red and white
edging at the waist and
above the flounce on the
skirt. The bride's hat was
trimmed with eyelet lace and
red and white trim to match
her dress. She carried a
bouquet of red silk roses and
baby's breath.
The bride's sister, Carol
Campbell, was maid of
honour. Bridesmaids were
Lynda Campbell, sister of the
bride, Shelby, Shannon, Rox-
anne and Becky Petteplace,
all sisters of the groom.

The bride's attendants
wore gowns of red and white
checked seersucker trimmed
with white eyelet edging on
the short cape at the neck.
Tanya Sutherland was the
flower girl. She wore a dress
of the same material as the
other attendants. The girls
carried white baskets filled
with silk red and white
flowers.
Neil Rieman was the best
man and the guests were
ushered by Clint Petteplace,
brother of the groom and
friends, Ben Blackwell, Brian
Yahbee and Wayne King.
Dale Priestap was the ring
bearer.
The groom and his attend-
ants wore navy blue suits,
white shirts trimmed with
red and red carnations as
boutonnieres.
The bride's mother wore a
long mint green dress of
peau de soie with matching
lace jacket. Her corsage was
pink silk roses. the groom's
mother wore a light blue
dress of polyester with a
sheer cape. Her corsage was
of blue silk flowers.
After the ceremony, din-
ner was served in the church
parlour followed by a recep-
tion in the Teeswater Com-
plex.
For travelling the bride
and groom wore three piece
beige suits and peach rose
corsage and boutonniere.
