Dr. and Mrs. Archie McQuillan and family of Ottawa visited last week with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred McQuillan, R. 1 Lucknow. Mrs. Mabel Sherwood of Waterloo is visiting Mrs. Annie Kilpatrick this week. Mrs. Kaye MacGregor Cairns of Granum, Alberta, Mr. and Mrs. Ken MacGreg- or, Jason and Eric of Mich- igan, Mr. Charles MacGreg- or of Hot Springs, B.C. and Jean Finlayson of Goderich spent the weekend with their cousin Mae Belle Stuart. Other visitors during the week were Mrs. Grace Rus- sel and Phyllis of Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Dave MacDonald of Red Deer, Alberta, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold MacDonald, 'Alberta and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon MacGregor of Lon- don. Other rec- ent visitors with them were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hewat, Mrs. Don Biles and Steven of Elmira; Jodi and Shelley Hewat of West Vancouver; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Thompson and Anne of Windsor. A surprise Birthday Party was held for Mrs. Gordon Barger Sr. by her family at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Herb and Roseline, on Friday night. They presented their mother with a family ring and the grandchildren presented her with lovely gifts and best wishes and her husband gave her a loyely amethyst ring. THAT The winner of last week's Lucknow and District Com- munity Centre Lottery draw was Mr. and Mrs. Terry Hodge of Dungannon. Lawn bowling On Tuesday, August 8th, a Ladies' Trebles Tournament was held on the Lucknow Greens. First prize went to Nora Finnigan's rink, Wing - ham; 2nd prize, Wilma Kerr's rink, Wingham; 3rd prize, Yvonne McPherson's rink, Wingham; 4th prize, Kathleen Snell's rink, At- wood; 5th prize, Audrey MacDonald, Evelyn Hender- son and Jennie McPherson, Lucknow and 6th prize, Mamie, Brouton's rink, At- wood. On July 26 Roy Finlayson and Jack Treleaven won a prize at Port Elgin.
