With the fine weather last
weekend many farmers have
started swathing grain. This
week if\ the weather stays
fine the combines will likely
be out.
Mr. and Mrs. Midford
Wall were guests at the
wedding of Mark Renwick
and Loraine Klein who were
married on July 22 at 3.30
p.m. at St. Paul's United
Church in Mildmay.
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford
Young visited Tuesday even-
ing with his sister, Mrs. May
Richardson of Wingham.
Sympathy of the commun-
ity is extended to relatives of
the late Andy Gaunt who
passed away in Wingham
Hospital on Saturday.
We are sorry to report that
Peter Moffat of Kincardine,
formerly of the eighth of
Culross, is a patient in
Kincardine Hospital. We
hope he will feel better soon.
Mr. and - Mrs. Gerald
Visser who have sold their
farm in Culross and are
moving out west to Alberta,
where their sons have been
farming.
Mr. and Mrs. Wesley
Young are leaving Tuesday
by plane for Edmonton
where they will visit for a
while with Edna's sister and
brother-in-law.
Sharen Struthers of Luck -
now is spending a few days
with her. cousins, Karen and
Liane Young.
Visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Clifford Young on the week-
end were Russell Young of
Toronto, Debbie Ferguson of
Newmarket, and Mr. and
Mrs. Reg Broome of Belfast.
Mr. and Mrs. Allan Miller,
Susan, Karen and . Jimmy
returned last week from a
four week trip out west which
they all enjoyed.
YOUNG REUNION
The Young reunion was
held Sunday afternoon at the
Saugeen Conservation Park
in Hanover. The weather was
perfect and 43 'people were
present.
Games and contests were
held with prizes for .,the
winners. Coming the farthest
were Mr.-. and Mrs. Gordon
Chapman and Lisa of Rex -
dale..
A bountiful lunch was
served; after which a short
businesk period was held.

organizers of this picnic were
Mr. and Mrs, Fred Moore,
Wingham and Mr. and Mrs.
Don Metcalfe of Hanover and
all agreed they had done a
good job and everyone en-
joyed it. -
A ball game was held after
lunch for all who cared to
play.
Mrs. Jean Davidson, Ham -
Ilton, is a patient in St.
Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton
after breaking her hip while
visiting her daughter, Mina
Mann and family.
Chad Mann spent three
days in Southampton at his
cousins cottage.
Congratulations to Mr.
and Mrs. Keith Bregman
(Jean Lennips) who were
married in the Christian
Reformed Church, Lucknow,
on Saturday.
The Teeswater 4-H club
held their achievement night
on Tuesday starting with a
barbecue dinner at the
Hanover Conservation park,
followed by a program which
consisted of skits and presen-
tation of awards in which
Anne Simpson xeeeived her
County Honours, which is
given when a member has
completed six clubs.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Spring-
er, Pam and Les, visited with
Mr. and Mrs. Len Coughlin
and girls of the 14th of
Culross, last Monday.
Mrs. Ethel Holmes of
Wingham was the lucky
winner of a $250 voucher on
the Wingham stores in the
final draws of the treasure
hunt contest. Mrs. Ethel
Holmes is the former Ethel
Richardson and lived on the.
corner farm at the end of the
6th concession of Culross,
formerly owned by Bill Bates
and received her public
schooling at Langside
School.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Hewitt,
Karen and Debbie, and Mr.
and Mrs. Don Martin, who
had just returned from a
motor trip to the east coast,
were. Sunday evening visitors
last Sunday evening with Mr.
and Mrs. ;"Jirt Young and
family.
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford
Young visited on Wednesday
evening with Mr. and Mrs.
Chester Pinnell of Mildmay.
