Mrs. Gertrude Walsh was
guest of honour at a social
afternoon at the Anglican
Church hall on Tuesday
when her former neighbours
and friends gathered to say.
farewell- as she has: taken up
residence at the Royal- Apart-
ments, Kincardine. . Mrs.
Bert Nicholson waschairlady
and Mrs. Delbert Hedley
read an address' of good
wishes from everyone. Com-
munity singing and program
from several ladies was
enjoyed and a lovely friend-
ship hanging plate and fancy
stationery and a gift of
money was given on behalf of
the gathering by Mrs, Nich-
olson.. Mrs. Walsh made a
fitting reply. Her grand-
-daughter, Debbie. Walsh.. got
the prize for having the
nicest tie to.accent her dress.
Refreshments and a social
chat brought a .very pleasant
afternoon to a close.

are hospitalized in London,
Mrs. Raynard Ackert in
Victoria Hospital, and Mrs..
Laural Hewitt,, who suffered
a broken hi : in a.motor'
accident and she is in St.
Joseph's- Hospital. We send
our best wishes to ' both
ladies.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Bennet Jr. returned to Tor-
onto after an enjoyable
holiday with their grandpar-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Haldenby.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Walsh
and Rhonda, who motored
from Melfort, Saskatchewan
and . were here for Jack's
mother's birthday and her
auction sale and ' for- the
ladies' farewell party for
grandma Walsh at Kinlough
on Tuesday, left on Wednes-
day morning on their return
trip. It was great seeing all of
them„
Mr. and Mrs. Carman
Hodgins of Byron renewed
acquaintances here on Satur-
day. Carman is the son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. George
Hodgins and ,spent his early
years on the farm where Mr.
and Mrs. Grant Eckenswiller
live on concession 10.
Mr. and Mrs. Spence
McFarlan had a very suc-
cessful sale on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. George Burt
and family of Oshawa retur-
ned, home after visiting with
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burt, Paul
and Terry.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Page
returned home from their
trip to England, where they
visited With relatives.

again hospitalized. We wish
her improved health.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
Hodgins of Niagara visited
with his mother, Mrs. Mar-
retta Hodgins. Pam, Shelley
and Julie Hodgins, who have
been holidaying here, return-
ed home with them. Darryl
and Keith Hodgins of St.
Cats-arines also visited at the
same home.
