enjoy barbecue

Mrs. Luba Weber has
purchased the former home
of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Hum-
phrey. All her friends and
neighbours welcome her to
the village.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Sprague
returned home after a few
days in London with Mr. and
Mrs. Al McRoberts. They
also visited Mrs. Sprague's
mother at the time.
Sympathy is expressed to
Mrs. Andrew Gaunt and
family on the passing of her
husband, Andrew, last week-
end.
Brenda and Karen Grigg
of Kitchener spent the week
with their grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Allan Cranston.
They were joined by their
parents on the weekend.
David Pritchard and Paul
Maclntyre of Lucknow have
returned from a .week at
Huron Hockey School at
Huron Park. The school is
run by men who are profes-
sional coaches and teachers
in the field of Physical
Education and Sports. David
is in his third year and Paul
in his second.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Taylor
and family returned home
after a camping holiday at
Prospect Hill near St.
Mary's. While on holiday
they visited' relatives in
London.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Erring-
ton have also just returned`
home after a few days
camping at Pine Lake, south
of Goderich.
Recent visitors with Mr.
and Mrs. Wayne Todd were
Mr. and Mrs. Verdun Du-
Charme of Wingham.
Miss Isabel Miller and
Mrs. Helen Todd enjoyed a
sightseeing weekend trip to
Manitoulin' Island.
Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Rin-
toul hosted a pig barbeque
for St. Helens folks and their
friends, and relatives. Fred
Thompson entertained at the
piano, while Bert Moss
played the fiddle. Young and
old alike enjoyed themselves
immensely.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Thompson of Caledon spent
the weekend with Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon McPherson.

their daughter, Hilda, to Bill Van der Klippe, son of Mr. and

will take place on August 18, 1978, at 630 p.m. in the Aylmer
Christian Reformed Church.

PICNIC
Ashfield Park was the site
for the Andrew Lane clans'
53rd picnic, Members from
Strathroy, Guelph, London,
Mississauga and those locat-
ed locally,' enjoyed an after-
noon of visiting. After a
picnic supper, president Don
Stotfiers, presided over a
short business meeting. A
minute's silence was observ-
ed in memory of the late
Mrs. Mac Lane and the late
Bernice Webster.
A committee, headed by
incoming president Bill An-
drew Jr., was formed to
discuss planning of future
picnics. Other committee
members are Barry McDon-
agh, Hugh Lane, Nancy
Folkard, Jean Carruthers
and Beatrice McQuillin.
Prizes were awarded by
Beatrice McQuillin to the
following members: Ed and
Jean McQuillin, lst car
registered; Eric Andrew,
youngest, member . present;
Nancy Folkard, birthday
closest to Commonwealth
Games; Eleanore Brown,
birthday during Plowing
Match; Andrew Carruthers,
person 11 years old; Norma
McDonagh, 9th person to
register; Ed McQuillin, man
over 70 not wearing glasses;

green shirt; Kathleen Brown,
