She is to be master of ceremonies at the closing banquet where the 144 attenders from all over Ontario will be attend- ing. The course was spon- sored by Madill High School and Maitland Valley Conser- vation. The community ex- tends congratulations to Lori. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Beecroft on the arrival on Saturday, August 5, 1978, a baby girl, Janice, at Exeter Hospital. A sister for Angela and Jenni- fer. Mark and Matthew Web- ster of Halifax are visiting with Hugh Sinnamon. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Laid- law, Janet and Kimberley, spent the holiday with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Crowston and family of Chatham. Richard Moore 'arrived home on Saturday from the West after a 3 week holiday. Congratulations to Dan Campbell and Patsy Scott whose wedding was held in the United Church on Satur- day at 7 p.m. The reception was held at Howick Com- munity Centre where a large crowd gathered to do them honour. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Evans were Sunday evening visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Nicholson of Kinlough. Mr. and Mrs. Angus Falconer visited on Sunday at Grand Bend with Mr. and Mrs. Purdon. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Conn arrived home on Satur- day from visiting with Mr. and Mrs. George Conn and family of Sherbrooke. Miss Kathy Purdon of Blyth spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Purdon. Miss Gena Mullis, after spending a few- days with Wilford Clipperton and John, returned home to London on Wednesday.
