Whitchurch bridal shower

On Thursday evening a
bridal shower was held in
Whitechurch Community
Hall, decorated with ' pink
and white streamers and
large white bells for Patsy
Scott.
While the crowd was
gathering Mrs. Agnes (Far-
rier played music.
Mrs. Dan Tiffin gave read-
ings. Community singing
was enjoyed with Mrs. Bill
Gibson as leader. Contests
were conducted by Mrs.
Agnes Farrier, Janet Laidlaw
and Mrs. Angus Falconer.
Duets were• sung by Misses
Janet Laidlaw and Vickie
Scott with Mrs. Agnes Far-
rier pianist. Mrs. Bill Gibson
read an address to Patsy
asking her to the platform
with her helpers, sister
Vickie Scott and Mrs. Joan
Livingston.
Patsy thanked everyone
for their gifts and the ladies
who organized the shower.
Mr. and Mrs. ` Joe Du-
charme of Goderich were
Sunday visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw and Mr.
and Mrs. Paul Laidlaw on the
weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Archie Pur -
don and Kendra were camp-
ing on the weekend at Mr.
and Mrs. Ross Erringtons.

After being in Victoria
Hospital, London, for 10 days

meeting was held Wednes-
day, July 19 at 2 p.m. in the
church Sunday School Room.
The president, Mrs. Bill
Rintoul, presided and gave
the call to worship.
Hymns were sung with
Mrs. Don Ross pianist. Mrs.
Bill Evans read the scripture.
The meditation was given by
Mrs. Alan Falconer: Mrs.
Victor Emerson led in pray-
er. Mrs. Alan Falconer gave
a reading. The minutes were
read by the secretary, Mrs.
Vic Emerson. The offering
was received and dedicated
by Mrs. Emerson. The topic,
Praise Ye the Lotd in Song, I
was given by Mrs. Bill
Rintoul.
At the Ladies' Aid meeting
which followed, the business
was preparation for the
Lucknow Craft Festival this
weekend.
