1978 BLAKE REUNION
The 1978 Blake Reunion
was held on Sunday, July 9 in
Stratford Park with 45 people
in attendance.
Following an • enjoyable
lunch, people renewed ac-
quaintances while others
canoed and played ball.
The Morrisons conducted
games; candy guess went to

ended with a peanut scram-
ble.
After a delicious meal,
Glen Webster, president, led
the business. The minutes
were read by acting secret-
ary, Kay Morrison, in the
absence of Bernice Blake,
moved by Bernice Johnstone
and seconded by Bernadean
Ritchie. A minute of silence
wasobserved in memory of
deriairted members.

It was decided , that the
1979 BIake.Reunion\would be
held,/ second Sunday in
July at Stratfordark.
The more activ members
then joined in a game of
scrub.
SILVER LAKE
BARBECUTIES
The second meeting of the
Silver Lake 4-H club was held
on July 4, at -the... home of
Susan Hedley.
After' the members had
prepared the kindling , and
firewood a "Criss Cross" fire
was laid and started.
Suggestions for a club name
were given and voted on. The
minutes read by Valerie
Stanley were approved.
Jean Hedley explained and
demonstrated how to use a
tin foil fryng pan, a reflector
oven, and a tin can stove.
Other methods of outdoor
cooking were discussed.
Members, then, prepared
foil wrapped dinners, pine-
apple upside down rake and
s'n1ores. After sampling the
dishes, the meeting was
closed.
