noonday service. This was

on the church lawn and fun,
and a treat fair all the little
folks, and some lucky adults
to fhe 'ladies in charge are
to be congratulated for the

.and enjoyed by all present.
Som e front here went to
Teeswater on Sunday for the
Annual Decoration Day Serv-
ice at the Teeswater Ceme-
tery where their family plots -
are.
We were sorry to know
that Mrs. Delores Cross and
the girls, Lindell and Mich-
ele, ,were involved in a car
accident on Friday last on the
Kinloss -Culross ' boundary.
This road is narrow and
being used as the County
Road No. 1 is under construc-
tion. Glad the girls weren't
injured.
Mr. and Mrs. Eric Parson,
Karl and Shawn from Eng-
land and formerly of conces-
sion 8 spent a few days with
Mrs. Marion Harris and Earl
Harris and called on other
friends here.
Mrs. Margaret Wilkinson
and Mrs. B. Boast and Keith'
Maulden went to London on
Sunday. The ladies remained
to visit relatives.

The Top brothers' sister
from Kenora spent a few
days with them last week.
Graham Moffat of Culross,
who had been staying with
,his daughter, has moved to
Goderich Nursing Home in
Goderich where his wife
Annie has been for a few
months. -
At the Grade 8 banquet
and graduation held last
Monday evening in Lucknow,
Karen Young was the winner
of the girls' proficiency
trophy and also the band
award. Congratulations Kar-
en.
Winners of the grade 5
awards at Kinloss Central
School, Holyrood, were Liane
Young, girls' proficiency.

Church on Sunday with Rev.
Nugent of Ripley in charge.

Formosa School of Ballet
held their recital in the
Walkerton Secondary School
on Friday evening with a
good attendance. The pro-
gram was well presented and
enjoyed by all present.

Summer has come once
again and our area students
Are on holiday. Many are
working near or at home and
some have gone to the city to
look for jobs or to start a
career. Congratulations to all
the graduates. Have a good
summer.
A Graduation Banquet was
held in the Community
Centre last Monday evening
for the Grade 8 students and
their parents and teachers of
Lucknow Central Public
School. After the dinner was
served, they went to the
school auditorium for the
exercises. Congratulations to
the young ladies and gentle-
men.
The Lucknow School Sand
entertained at the Harbour
Park in Goderich on Sunday
evening. It was very enjoy-
able.
Sympathy is extended to
the family of Elliott Carruth-
ers who passed away last
week.

Plaetzer home to attend
the trousseau tea on May
17. The guests were in-
vited to view the gifts that
had been " generously
bestowed upon the bride
at the showers and some
of the couple's wedding
gifts.
Mary Lynn Merrill,
Sherry's cousin,
displayed presents
received at a surprise
shower given by Mrs.
Evelyn Merrill, aunt of
the bride.
Sherry had also been
honoured at the com-
munity shower in Knox
United Church, Auburn.
Mrs. ' EArva Machan, a
friend of the bride..from
Auburn, was chosen to
comment on these gifts
Terry's two younger
sisters, Kathleen and
Betty Jane Foran,
showed gifts given to
Sherry at a surprise
shower in London hosted
by her roommates, her
sister, Wanda and.
Terry's sister, Cathy.
Mrs. Maureen Bean,
life long neighbour of
Sherry, presented details
about family portraits
and articles Sherry had
collected to this point.
Wanda Plaetzer showed
guests the wedding
presentsgiven to the
couple. The Nursing Staff
of the Urology Ward at St.
J'ose,ph's Hospital,
London,,
. had also
honoured Sherry with a
tea shower.
Silver tea services
adorned the tea -table
covered with a madeira
lace cloth. The wedding
cake which had been
decorated by the bride,
made the centrepiece of
the tea -table. Pale yellow
candles in silver holders
flanked the wedding
cake, highlightipg the
yellow floral decorations.
Adding to the gay air
were white wedding bells
peaking , from various
points in the room and
white and yellow mum
plants.
Tea was poured
throughout the day for
guests by Mrs. Orville

In the afternoon, guests
were offered refresh-
ments by Mrs. Betty

mints and asked guests to
sign the register.. These
girls' mothers, Mrs.
Shari Millian and Mrs.
Bernice Gross, per-
formed kitchen duties.

Noisy Ladies win
The season total now stands at five wins and two losses for
the Lucknow. Noisy Ladies after a successful two weeks.
On June loth Luckriaw defeated Seaforth with a score of 33
- 16. Barb Helm led the scoring with two home runs.
The following game, June 22nd, Nancy Cameron was the
leader with two home runs when the Noisy Ladies chalked up
another victory over Joe's ,Girls, 48 to 6.

He has driven it to car races in the United States and Canada
and has been in Florida with it twice. '
He will eventually be racing witha car he is building in his
garage now.
Last week, Gramlich received the patent for a disc -brake
grinder he designed which allows a mechanic to grind
disc -brakes right on the car without removing the brakes from
the car.

The groom is the son of Mrs.
Rhea Whitby and the late
Sydney Whitby of Lucknow,
Ontario.
She wore a floor length
gown of white taffeta with
wide lace trim with elbow
length veil and carried a
bouquet of white roses and
mums and baby breath.
Maid of honour, Miss
Renee Stressel of Clinton,
New York, sister of*the bride,
wore a floor length gown of
pink Quainti and voile flock-
ed •cape and carried a
bouquet of pink mums.. -
Bridesmaids were Miss
Susan Stressel, sister of the
bride, and Miss Marie Gold-
en. They wore floor length
blue gowns, similar to the
maid of honour's gown and
carried pink mums.
Best man was Richard
Jardine of Lucknow, Ontario,
brother-in-law of the 'groom.
Ushers were Karl Stressel
Jr., Clinton, New York,
brother of the bride, and
Addan Dawson of Lucknow,
Ontario.
The mother of the bride
wore a Colonial print floor
length gown and a corsage of
pink roses. The groom's
mother wore a floor length
blue coat dress, and corsage
of white mums.
The couple will reside at 46
Dwight Avenue, Clinton,
New York, U.S.A.
The bride is a graduate of
Daytona Junior College, and
Mohawk Valley Community
College. She is employed at
Utica Mutual Insurance
Company.
The groom is a profession-
al hockey player who was
formerly with Mohawk Val-
ley Comets, and Oshawa
General in Ontario, Canada.
He recently was contracted
to play with the New Utica
Mohawks hockey team,
