There is no. Morgan club in this area, the closest is near
Detroit,. so Edmiston occasionally goes out driving with the
local MG owners.
This is the first time he has entered the car in a car show
and he e:itered the Lucknow -show because he knows Gary
Ritchie who was helping co-ordinate the show.
The Morgan struck Edmiston as something he always
wanted to have and he recalls that a university. student in
Vancouver Island had one but would not part with it for any

full of retired, farmers _who
used to do farm work with
horses and want to rekindle
some memories.
All seven members of the
team and horse show com-
mittee either show horses at
competitions, or have shown
them, Mr. Aitchison said.
Glenn Johnston, Fordwich;
Sam Pletch, Belgrave; Bob
Aitchison, Lucknow; Tommy
Leiper, Londesboro; Tom
Penhale, Bayfield; and Arn-
old Young, Goderich, are all
members of the committee,
under Mr. Aitchison's lead-
ership. He shows his Belg-
ians at competitions.
The committee has secur-
ed space for horses in several
barns near the match site,
and Mr. Aitchison said area
farmers, especially Murray
Jenkins, have been quite
co-operative in providing
room for the show and plow
horses. The committee prov-
ides hay and straw for plow
horses, he noted, and makes
hay and straw available to
owners of horses 'at' the
match only for promotion or
the parade.
Some horses will be stay-
ing in' the tented city and
won't need accommodation
at a neighbouring barn. A
number of feed and seed
companies use horses in
their displays in the tented
city, Mr. Aitchison said.
Though committee work
takes quite a bit of his time
and even money, Mr. Aitch-
ison is proud to be part of
this year's match, which is
expected to attract 250,000
people September 26 to 30.
"It's really an honour to
participate in a thing like
this, in our part of the
country," he said. This
year's plowing match is the
first time IPM has come to
this end of the county in his
lifetime "and I don't expect
I'll ever see it again, in this
area," he said.

price. Edmiston who tried to buy that car now feels the same
way about his own.
PORSCHE
Hans Gramlich built his 1973 Porsche in his garage by
combining styles from different cars and designing the car
himself. There is no other car in the world like his.
It has a Porsche frame, chassis and suspension, but, the
doors, body, built in roll cage, and aluminum bucket seats of a
uniform design so they won't collapse on impact, are his own
design.
Gramlich who is a welder and a sheet metal mechanic
worked on the car for two years and finished it in 1976. The
car has a flat six dual overhead cam, six carburetors, a 2 point
2-9-11 F engine, 1971 model, and a five speed transmission.
MOSPORT
He has run the car at Mosport for the final test for body and
suspension and competes in skill tests with the Northern
Region of the Porsche Club of America which meets in
Toronto.
He uses the car as a street car and drives it every weekend.
