We were down 15-4, only by
accident we claim.
The girls played Durham, of
their pitcher we had
heard.
Sandra got an almost homer,
but only made it to third.
Julie stole home while Helen
calmly walked to base,
The pitch hit Darlene and
Tammy was in the race.
We tried our best to get out
of this fix
But the next thing we knew
the score was ten to 6.
Although to defeat we did
fall
A great time was had by all.
Hillcrest graciously asked us
to return
And next year a victory we
will earn!
Many thanks to parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Scott, Mr. and
Mrs. Farrell, Mr. and Mrs.
Guikema, Mrs. Colling, Mr.
and Mrs. Hodge, Mrs..
Needham for their driving
and cheering.
