R. 7 Lucknow. Father Dentinger of Kingsbridge assisted Rever- end Garratt of Lucknow at the marriage which united the children of Mr. and Mrs. Al Hamilton, Lucknow and - Mr. and Mrs, Frank Van- Diepenbeek, Lucknow. Den- ise Kennedy, Teeswater. played traditional wedding music. The bride, given in mar- riage by her father, wore a white floor length gown trimmed with lace and Juli- ette cap which held her cathedral veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses, baby's breath and bridal wreath. She was attended by her maid of honour, Patti Hamil- ton, Edrhonton, who wore blue and carried white dais- ies and carnations tinted to KINLOSS-KAIRSHEA W.I. The June meeting of the Kinloss-Kairshea Women's Institute was held Thursday, June 15th at 7 p.m. The president, Mrs. Evan Keith welcomed the members and their guests to the Sunshine Sister , meeting. After the Institute Grace was sung all enjoyed a bountiful pot luck supper. Mrs. Bob Gilchrist led a lively sing song. The minutes were read by the secretary - treasurer, Mrs. Lloyd Mac- Dougall. - The South Bruce District secretary, Mrs. Gordon Wall, told about the Apprec- iation Day for Mrs. Herb Maluske, past F.W.I.O. pre. sident. It is to be in the form of a "Come and Go Tea" at Desboro June 26th. She said that they would like a good representation from South Bruce District. .A motion was passed to have the Kairshea Tweeds- muir History and Scrap books on display in Kairshea Hall on July 19th, in conjunc- tion with the unveiling of the Grey Ox f'laijue. match her dress. Her brides- maids were 9 Lissette Van- Diepenbeek, Lucknow wear- ing pink; Joan Hamilton in yellow and Janine Glenn in green. The maids carried white daisies, and carnations tinted to match their gowns. Tony Miltenburg attended as groomsman and Ken Hamilton, Harry VanDiepen- beek and Frank VanDiepen- beek ushered the guests. ' The bride's mother receiv- ed guests at the reception in the Lucknow District Com- munity Centre wearing a pale green dress .with floral jacket and a corsage of white gardenias. She was assisted by the mother of the groom, who wore a pink print gown and white gardenia corsage. The bride changed to a blue skirt suit for the honeymoon to the western provinces. The couple will reside on the groom's farm at R. R. 7 Lucknow, on the 10th conces- sion of Ashfield Township. Kairshea will be hostess on July 18th at Southampton Museum. They will be dem- onstrating crafts. The July meeting will be a bus trip to Black Creek Village and other points of interest. The directors, Mrs. Evan Keith, Mrs. Harvey Houst- on, and Mrs. Donald Mac- Kinnon conducted many fun filled contests. The members exchanged gifts to learn the name of their Sunshine Sister for the past year. The guests also received gifts. The Donnybrook United Church Women met at the home of Mrs, Morley John- ston June 14th with a good attendance. Mrs. Stuart Chamney op- ened the meeting with a Father's Day theme. Mrs. Ray Hanna read the scripture and the meditation followed with prayer. Mrs. Hilliard Jefferson gave a reading, "Remember Father". The Ploughing Match, Ho- bo teas,. etc. were discussed and an invitation to Calvin - Brick and Londesboro were read. Mrs. Luba Weber read "When Pa is Sick". Mrs. E. Robinson gave a reading, "Husbands and Mrs. S. Chamney gave a reading "Dad". Mrs. Morley Johnston showed her slides on her trip to Christian Island. Mrs. S. Chamney closed with prayer. A social time followed with Mrs. H. Jefferson and Mrs. E. Robinson assisting the hostess. ST. HELENS U.C.W. On June 13, 1978 St. Helens United Church Wom- en entertained neighbouring U.C.W:s in the church base- ment. Miss Isobel Miller was chair lady and opened the meeting with the theme "Bundle of Sticks". The scripture lesson was read -by Mrs. Frank McQuil- lin. Larry MacPherson sang, accompanied by Barbara Cameron. A prayer by Mrs. Don Cameron was followed by the offering, taken by Mrs. Chestet Nicholson and Mrs. Tom Todd. Mrs. Gordon McPherson offered prayer`. Miss Peggy Gordon intro- duced Miss Carol McCrostie who showed slides of the Orient and of Scotland. Mrs. Tom Todd thanked Carol and presented a gift. All enjoyed a social half hour following the meeting.
