Holyrood Happenings
BY LYNNE NICOLSON
Holyrood has been quite
busy this -past week. I'm sure
nobody could have been
bored.
First to start things off, we
are proud to say that
Holyrood's population has
increased by one. A baby girl
was presented to Mr. and
Mrs. D. Kramer of Holyrood,
Tuesday, June 13.
Field Day was held at
Lucknow-Central and Kinloss
Central Public Schools June
13. Although the weather
proved to be a bit cold it also
proved to be successful for a
few area children. Helen
VanSligtenhorst was at the
top of the list for Junior Girls
and took home the Junior
Girls Athletic Trophy. Caryn
' Nicolson received Senior
Girls Athletic Trophy in her
division. Congratulations to
everyone who participated.
Special, mention goes to
those who received ribbons
and I'm sure there were
many.
It looks as though Kinloss
Central has been very busy
this week. Last Monday,
June 12, Mrs. MacDonald's
room went to Wingham.
They visited Wingham Dist-
rict Hospital and CKNX.
Tuesday, they had Field Day
as previously mentioned.
Wednesday, the whole
school had planned ,to go
swimming at the pool in
Lucknow but the weather
ruined all hopes of that.
Finally on Friday,, the school
was entertained by the
Hepworth School Band who
played such numbers as You
Light Up My Life and Tijuana

overwhelming success as
there was a fantastic turnout,
not only from the older

group as well. The latter
played a separate game from

to be more safe and just as
enjoyable.

took place.
The Kinloss Girls's base-

though they have not won
any games yet, they seem to
be getting better with prac-

That seems to be every-
thing for this week so I'll be
talking to you next time. Bye
for now.
Thought for the week:
Perfection consists not in
doing extraordinary things,
but in doing ordinary things
extraordinarily well.
