Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rintoul on Sunday evening called`on Gordon Caldwell of Blyth, home from Clinton Hospital, where he had been with a heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. Relison Falconer of Sarnia spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mow- bray and. her mother, Mrs. Jack Stacey of Wingham. Mr. and Mrs. James Wilson ,. of Wingham were also Sun- day visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Mowbray. Mrs. Brian Falconer of Sarnia spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Milligan and sister, Clara. • Mr. and 'Mrs. Wesley Tiffin visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. George Tiffin of Lucknow and witfi Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McMillan of Watford who were also visiting there. We are pleased to report that Mrs. Don Caesar who spent a few days last week in Wingham Hospital expects to be released on Monday. Harvey Osborne on 'Sun- day had charge of the morning service at St. And- rew's Presbyterian Church, Wingham. Mrs. Christina Moore of Brampton is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. John Moore and family. There will be no church service nor Sunday School at Chalmer's Presbyterian Church on Sunday, June 11 as it is anniversary Sunday at the United Church. The. guest speaker will be Rev. Bruce . Eaton, a returned miskionary who has been doing well drilling on the mission field. Services will be at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. In the evening Blyth United Church Choir will supply music. After the evening, service there will be a social hour in the Sunday School room. On Sunday evening quite a few from Whitechurch .Unit- ed Church attended the service at Bluevale United Church where Mr. and Mrs. Thornton showed slides and gave a commentary on their Scandinavian trip and also of their attendance at the Queen's Garden Party. On Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Angus Falconer held a birthday party for their grandson, Tony Falcon- er, with a group of , 25 attending. The C.O.C: held their meeting Sunday during Church service in the Sunday School room with their lead- ers Mrs. Purdon and Mrs. Simpson. The leader Liane Young gave the call to worship. Karen Elliott read the scripture.. Prayer was given by Karen Pickard. The minutes were read by the secretary Joann de Boer, Kerry Coghlin received the offering. The offering prayer was given by Michael Irwin. Mrs. Purdon gave the junior story and Mrs. Simp- son gave the senior story. On Wednesday afternoon an afternoon progressive euchre party - was held by Whitechurch Women's Insti- tute. There were 9 tables in play. High lady •with white card was Mrs. Rena Fisher; high lady with pink card, Mrs. Busby; low ladies, Mrs. James Wilson, Mrs. Vernon Hunter; lucky chair, Wesley Tiffin; draw, Mrs. Olive Lewis. Mrs. Helen Schultz of Tillsonburg visited a .few days last week with her son, and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Schultz and family of East Wawanosh.
