JOHN Ma AVLET Mrs. Tabitha May Nary) MacAuley of Acton passed away in Milton Centennial Manor on May 19, 1978 in her 87th year. Born in West Wawanosh Township, she was the daughter of the late George and Sarah (Cooke) Swan of Ashfield Township. In 1914 she married John MacAuley of the Ripley area and they farmed in Ashfield Township. She is survived by two daughters; Sara, Mrs. Frank Ritchie, Lucknow; Georgina (Jean), Mrs. Roy Anderson, Toronto; twin sons, Angus and Lloyd MacAuley; Toron- to. Ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and two brothers John and Earl Swan of Wiarton also survive. She was predeceased by her husband in 1923, a daughter-in-law, Rosemary, and four brothers. iS The funeral service was held on Monday, May 22 at 2 p.m, in the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow, with Rev. Dr. R. Armstrong (a former Acton neighbour and friend) of Wingham, officiating. Mrs. Anne Pritchard was organist. Five grandson, Donald Baker, Roy Herman, John, Douglas and Allan MacAuley of Toronto and a nephew, Cameron MacAuley, Ripley were pallbearers for the burial which took place in Greenhill Cemetery. Friends and relatives at- tended from Toronto, Kitch- ener, Stratford, Belmont, Clinton, Wiarton, Kincard- ine, Wingham, Ripley, God- erich and the Lucknow; area. Going away ?. .
