of last week at his farm in

Mr, and Mrs. • Robert
Wynne of Kitchener spent
the weekend at their farm
home on the 8th of Kinloss.
Joanne Bongertman of
Lucknow, _formerly of Lang -
side, is ving for Medicine
Hat, Alliea on Tuesday,
May 23. She plans to drive
down. Her sister, Mary, who
. Mrs. Marretta Hodgins
returned home from visiting
at Niagara and St. Cathar-
ines.
Mr. and Mrs. Garnet
Tinney spent a few days' at
Bancroft.
Friends from this area .
went to Walkerton to the
Funeral Parlours where the
late Reid Morgan rested. The
Morgan family were formerly
of concession 10. Sympathy
is extended to the bereaved.
Mr. and Mrs. William E.
Haldenby attended the wed-
ding of their grandson, Mr.
-and Mrs. Rick Fry at Orange-
ville and also visited with
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Fry at
Harriston and Mr. and Mrs.
Ralph Haldenby, Bill and
Connie at Guelph, then went
to. Colborne and visited their
brother-in-law Earl Thomp-
son and with Mr. and Mrs.
Harvey Becking. at Brant-
ford.

Walsh • and attended the
funeral of her brother, the
late Henry Scott. .
Dale Hodgins spent the
week here with his grand-
mother, Mrs. Marretta Hod-

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Phillips of Fonthill . visited
with. Mr. and Mrs. Frink
Maulden and Keith.. Arthur
returned home and Jean
remained until Friday. Mr.
Bob MacDonald of Toronto
also visited his cousins, the

patient in the Wingham and
District Hospital where she
was taken on Wednesday
last, having suffered a stroke
at her. home.

Mrs. Jean Young, who is
administrator and supervisor
of Town and Country Home-
makers, attended the inter-
provincial conference which
was held in Chateau •Laurier,
Ottawa, Thursday to Sunday,
May 18 to 21. The theme was
to consider the broad aspects
of care in the home and the
commonality of the skills of
areas - care in the home,
homemaker care, foster care
and day care. The varied
benefits of set standards to
each of the following - the
client, family care worker,
employer, government serv-
ices to the public, and the
taxpayer _ and the specific
benefits to the occupation of
qualification and accredita-
tion were considered. The
conference collectively chart-
ed a course of action to
enable the delegates to assist
in ' implementation of the
recommendations of the con-
ference. This conference was
sponsored by Family Care
Workers of Ontario, assisted
by Health and Welfare of
Canada, Secretary of State,
the Province of Ontario and
the National Capital Com-
missions. The three. days
were busy and interesting.
