R. 1 Holyrood, took their grandparents, Bill and Ruth Bogues to the Log Cabin Restaurant for a delicious chinese dinner, in' honour of their 37th wedding anniversary. Ruth's brother and wife, Mr. and 'Mrs. Roy, Balkwill of London gave them a pleasant surprise by joining them for dinner. Visitors during the holiday weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard MacDonald were Joan Scoble of Vancouver, Bonnie Hammond of Ingersoll, James, Maret, and Johanna MacDonald of London and Mr. and Mr"s. Norton Van Camp of Listowel. E. W. Rice, Lucknow, has returned home after spending a month in Wingham Hospital following surgery. ISEE. .. By the Sentinel THAT Mr. Donald Campbell, R. R. 5 Lucknow, can be heard on FM 102 CKNX Wingham radio, each Friday at 1.15 p.m. - THAT Cheryl Cote received the Rookie Kinette Award for Kins- inen District 1 which includes most of southwestern Ontario, at District Spring Convention in Sarniaover the weekend:. District Secretary Shirley Jensen made the presentation of a trophy and a personal trophy Cheryl will keep. Cheryl won the honour over 22 over entrants. THAT Bill Johnston of Toronto won the Lottery draw for $1,000 last Wednesday. Bill is the son of Mrs. Jessie Johnston, Lucknow. THAT Tommy Gilmore, 10, Lucknow, won the Ontario Provincial Baton Twirling Championship in the Juvenile Division and placed first in the Open Contest held in Markham on: Sunday. He won the boys' solo class at the Southern Ontario Championships in Bram- alea the end of April. Tommy is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Art Gilmore, Lucknow. THAT Old ° Light Lodge held their annual church service at Ashfield Presbyterian Church on Sunday, with a good attendance. This year's master of the lodge is Doug Martyh. Minister at Ashfield is Rev. Hugh Nugent. Guest soloist was Mrs. Bertha Scott. NEABLE - Mr. and Mrs. Howard Neable of R. R. 3 Lucknow, are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Peter William p'redrick, weight 9 lbs. -1 oz., on Tuesday, May lbth, 1978. A wee brother for Howie, Wendy and Tammy. Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Elliott, Lucknow, visited on the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Graham George West of Keswick. Graham was featured on the Wintario Lottery draw program on April 27.
