Marie Sinnett, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. 'Jim Sinnett and to
George Dennis Nelson, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Nelson, Calgary,
Alberta, who were married in St.
Joseph's Church, Kingsbridge on
Saturday, May 20th.
Congratulations to Terry For-
: an, son of Mr. and Mrs: John
Foran, St. Augustine, and to
Sherry Plaetzer, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Lawrence Plaetzer who
were married in Auburn on
Saturday, May 20. Following
their marriage, an open reception
was held in the Blyth Community
Centre.
Congratulations to Larry Hack-
ett and to Catherine Cook who
were married on Saturday, May
20. Several from this area
attended the reception held in the
Brookside Public School, follow-
ing their wedding.
A special welcome is given to
the summer cottagers who have
returned on this first holiday
weekend, Victoria Day.
Mrs. Nora Sinnett, and Mr. and
Mrs. Joe O'Brien of Gaithers-
burg, Maryland; Mrs. Shannon
Kellenbeck, " Oregon; Mr. and
Mrs. Dennis Sinnett and family of
Detroit, Michigan; Eddie Sinnett,
Montreal; attended the Nelson -
Sinnett wedding on Saturday,
May 20, and are spending
holidays with relatives here.
Mrs. Marie Judge, and son,
Joe, of Jackson, Michigan, Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Courtney, Toron-
to, visited with the Courtney
relatives here and attended the
wedding of Sheila Sinnett to
George Nelson on Saturday, May
20.
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lajeun-
esse and family of Sudbury spent
the Victoria Day weekend with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin
Moran and family.
Bill Berry of Calgary, Alberta
arrived home early Sunday, May
21 for a few days with his family
here.
Mr. and Mrs. Kerry Hogan and
family of Glencoe spent the.
'holiday weekend with his parents
Mr. and Mrs. Con Hogan.
Mrs. Sam Berry, London visit-
ed on Sunday, May 14 with Mrs.
Bill Berry and family.
The newly formed St. Joseph's
Community School. Association
met on Monday, May 15 with
Clete Dalton as chairman. Com-
munity
om.munity needs were discussed and
the various grant structures. The
need for a soundly planned group
was 'seen and ' it was decided to
start witha work bee at the school
later in the year.
Spring burials for the late
Francis L. Austin and John
O'Neill took place on Friday, May
19., They were laid to rest in St.
Joseph's Roman Catholic Cemet-
ery, Kingsbridge.
The White Gypsy, a two act
operetta by Theodosia Paynter
was presented by the students of
St. Joseph's School, Kingsbridge
on Thursday and Friday, May 18
and 19. Those students named in
the cast were: Kom, Bob Austin;

Rose Marie O'Keefe; Guinn,

The chorus was students from
Grades 5 to 8 with pianist Lillian
Simpson. Denise Dalton helped
prepare the back drop on the
stage and did a professional job.
The students and teachers are to
be congratulated . on this fine
performance which was enjoyed
by this community. Awards are to
be given at a later date.
Paul O'Donnell was admitted to
Victoria Hospital, London on
_Thursday,- May 11 with -surgery
performed on the following day.
He was released from hospital the
following Sunday..
Linda Hdndriks, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hendriks
completed the first year of a two
year Hotel Restaurant. Manage-
ment Course at the Fanshawe
College, London on Friday, April
28. She left on Saturday, May 20
by CN :train from Toronto to
Edmonton and by bus to Banff,
Alberta for 4 months summer
employment at the Banff Springs
Motel. She will be returning to
Fanshawe College, London on
October 1st.
