Jimmie Miller who has been a
patient- in Wingham Hospital for
some time returned home last
Tuesday. We wish him continued
good health.
Congratulations to Mr. and
Mrs. Thys Kloostra (Evelyn
Brooks) on the birth of a baby boy
in Wingham Hospital last Tues-
day.

Graham Moffat of Teeswater
formerly of Langside was a
patient in Wingham Hospital for a
few .days last week. We are glad
to know he is feeling better.
Mrs. Nell of Stayner spent a ,
few days last week with her
daughter Mr. and Mrs. Bob
Bregman and family.
Bob and Agnes Bregman and
their mothers, Mrs. Nell of
Stayner and Mrs. Jan Bregman of
Exeter, and Mrs. Roelie de Boer,
John, Hilda and Joanne attended
the graduation exercises • at the
Agricultural College at Centralia
on Friday afternoon when Robert
Bregman Jr. and Fred—de Boer
were two of the graduates
receiving diplomas.
Visitors on Saturday with Mr.
and Mrs. Clifford Young were
Ken Young, Russell Springer,
Mr. and Mrs. Len Coughlin,
Kelly, Kim and Karey, and Marty
and Jamie Young.
The Whitechurch Presbyterian
Church Sunday School awards
were presented on Sunday during
the church service. The Young
Peoples held their meeting Sun-
day evening at the manse.
Congratulations- to Gordon
Moffat who was appointed tech-
nical supervisor of the electronic
news gathering for the. CBC
national television news. Gordon
spent his boyhood at Langside
and attended Langside School.
Gordon, his wife Margery and
three children reside in Oakville.
Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Wraith,

Larry and Scott of Sarnia, visited
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Arnold Scott on Saturday evening
and with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. John Wraith of Lucknow on
Sunday.

Pastor Gilbert Van Sligtenhorst
was ordained by the Pentecostal
Assembly of Canada at the
Conference at Kennedy Road
Tabernacle at Brampton on
Wednesday evening. He received
the laying on the hands. Also
attending from here were Mrs.
Van Sligtenhorst and family, and
a bus load from the Pentecostal
congregation:
A number from here attended
the Band Concert at Lucknow on
Saturday evening. Much credit is
due to all who participated in such
a fine performance. '
A.C.W. Ladies from here
attended the Thankoffering meet-
ing at Lucknow on Tuesday
evening when the main feature
was a talk and showing of slides
on Africa. This was followed by a
social hour.
Teresa Stanley, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Bevan Stanley,
returned home from Wingham
and District Hospital.
Mrs. Marretta Hodgins spent
the weekend with Mr. and Mrs.
Glen Hodgins and family at St.
Catharines. She then went to
Niagara Falls where she will
spend a while with Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Hodgins and family
before returning .to her home
here.
Visitors with°Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Hodgins were Mr. William Arm-
strong of Richmond, Virginia and
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Bell of
Orangeville.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Duncan and -
daughter Sarah of Mississauga
spent the weekend at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. George Graham.
Mr. and Mrs. William Halden-
by spent a few days with Mr. and
Mrs. Norman Fry at Harriston.
Mrs. Arthur Haldenby return-
ed home after spending the past
two weeks with Mr. and Mrs.
Howard Bennett at Toronto. We
are pleased to report that Mrs.
Bennett is some improved follow-
ing a recent illness.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard White-
side of Toronto spent the week-
end with her parents Mr. and
Mrs. Arthur Haldenby before
leaving for England on a month's
vacation.

for the June meeting of the
Anglican Church Women at her
new home concession 10.
Mrs. Delbert Hedley presided
for the devotional and gave a
reading. Mrs. Gertrude Walsh
read the scripture and May Boyle
gave a meditation on . prayer.
