ations.
One dozen of the pole decora-
tions were ordered at a cost of
$143 each. The cost will be shared
three ways among the Business
Association, the Horticultural
Society and the Village Council
with Council installing the brack:.
ets and wiring on the poles and
providing the crew to put the
decorations up and take them
down. .
\Council was reluctant to consid-
er pole decorations at first
because the old decorations had
to be wired in to the poles and
involved a lot of man hours for the
public works crew to put them up -
and take them down.
Vladimir Sebanek of Norris
U'splay, Toronto, attended the
Council meeting and told Council
and the delegation that the new
decorations are on a pipe which
slips into a bracket placed on the
light post. If outdoor electrical
outlets are installed on the light
posts the decorations can be
plugged in instead of being wired
in' each year.
A three foot high banner saying.
"Happy Holidays" was also
considered but was not practical
because the town light posts are
staggered and a banner across
main street would have to be
connected to buildings. The
weight of the banner was 150
pounds and Council did not feel it
would be safe to try to hang the
banner from the old brick
buildings on the main street.
United Church. Debbie Bolt gave
a tribute to parents to which Mrs.
Bev Thompson replied.
After dinner the group moved
to the sanctuary where president
Barbara Henderson ,welcomed
everyone. Leader Mrs. Laura Lee '
Cayley gave the year end report
and presented attendance awards
to Shirley Loree, Kay Morrison
and Christy Davies. Leader Mrs.
Bernice Davies told about studies
this year and presented Chevrons
to each girl. The Friendship
Badge was explained by leader
Mrs. Mildred Loree and given to
new members.
Fayne Ann Forster, Bonnie
Clarke and Mary Ann Ritchie are
going to attend Ontario Camp
Council as representatives of the
Lucknow group. They were given
some financial assistance.
The leaders were presented
with gifts from the group.
Leader Elizabeth Ritchie intro-
duced each of the graduates,
Lynn Elphick, Pamela McIntosh,
Laurie Clarke, Mary Lynn Cayley,
Susan Thompson and Barbara
Henderson, who were presented
with diplomas and pins. Mrs. Lois
Walden for Lucknow U.C.W.,

Presbyterian W.M.S. and Mrs.
Ena Steer for South Kinloss
W.M.S. presented gifts to the
girls of'their respective churches.

message for the Graduation
Service. The graduates gave" their
presentation with songs, readings
and prayer. Elizabeth Ritchie has
been leader of the graduating
group for four years and they
gave her a gift as she leaves the
