Bill Snowden, attended the May meeting of Stratford Musicians, held in Wingham Town Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Tiffin of Winghath were visitors on Sun- day with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tiffin and with Mrs. Orville Tiffin. This community extends sin- cere sympathy to the relatives of the late Tom Jamieson, Mr. and Mrs. John Jamieson and family of East Wawanosh; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Jamieson and family, East Wawanosh; Mr. and Mrs.. Earl Jamieson and family, West Wawanosh; Mr. and Mrs. Ross Jamieson and family of Wing - ham. While a resident of White- church Tom was a good neigh- bour and visited all in his community where he was liked by all and will be greatly missed even though he had been at Cosy Corners Nursing Home for about a year. Those 'attending the Holyrood Women's Institute meeting on Thursday evening from White- church Were Mrs. Bill Rintoul, Mrs. Bill Evans, Mrs. Lorne Durnin, Mrs. Agnes Farrier and Mrs. Fred Tiffin. To help Annie Laidlaw cele- brate her birthday on Friday, Mrs. Jack Kerr of Bluevale, Mrs. Fred Moore of Wingham and Mrs. Ivan Laidlaw, Janet and Kimberley were visitors. The Public Schoolers of the community had a holiday as it was Professional Development Day on Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Osborne, Bethany, Anna and Laura, return- ed home n Tuesday evening after attending the graduation exercises of Knox College gradu- ating class. They were accompan1 ied home by Mrs. ' Osborne's sister, Ruth, from Trenton, where -they had also visited with her parents, Rev: and Mrs. Hobbs. Mrs. Ed Walker of Owen Sound visited an Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Evans. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Evans visited Sunday with their son, Ted Evans, Mrs. Evans and family of Ballinafad. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Evans of London visited on Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Donaldson at Teeswater and called on his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Evans. Graham Moffat of Teeswater formerly of Langside, is a patient in Wingham Hospital. His friends here wish him a speedy recovery. Callers on Mr. and Mrs. - Victor Emerson on Sunday were Nat Thomson of Lucknow and Mrs. George Downey of Tiverton. The Young People's Society held their meeting Sunday even- ing at the Manse. The sold sign is now on the home of the late Mrs. Jen Ross. Mr. *and Mrs. Jim Scott and family and Amsey Wilkens of Listowel visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wilkens and family. Kevin Falconer spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Brian Falconell of 'Sarnia. Mrs. Don Myres, Jeffery and Timmy pf Woodstock spent the weekend with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mowbray. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Tiffin and Mrs. Robert Mowbray were Sunday evening callers on Mrs. Florence Purdon of Wingham. Mr. and Mrs. Patd Laidlaw of Windsor spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elliott. Whitechurch Twirling Bobbins 4-H Club with leaders Mrs. Archie Purdon and Mrs. Walter Elliott, attended 4-H Achieve- ment Day at Teeswater PUblic itechurch School on Saturday. Those at- tending were Mary Moore, Janet. Laidlaw, June Alton,- Lori Jamie- son, and three sisters Iathy, Lorie and Kendra Purdon. All received their spoons.
