have recently returned from a trip

Margaret Robertson of Luck -
now visited with Mr. and Mrs.
Don Robertson and attended the
funeral of their cousin, Mrs. Fox,
in Kincardine.
Mrs. Don Reid was hostess for
the Women's Missionary Society
meeting of Kinlough Presbyterian
Church last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Robertson
recently attended a fortieth
wedding anniversary in Blyth for
Mr. and Mrs. Miller Richmond.
Dianne MacKay of the Univer-
sity of Guelph and Carol MacKay
of Western University have
`\,,, completed their courses and have
returned to the home of their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald
MacKay.

attended the 4-H Achievement
Day held in Ripley last Saturday.
Mrs. Mel ,Pollock accompanied
Doug MacDonald to Bay Ridges
last week where they helped Mr.
and Mrs. Garry Pollock move to
their new home.
A service of baptism was held
on Sunday in -St. Paul's Anglican
Church, Ripley, for Sarah Eliza-
beth Farrell; daughter of Garry
and Laura Farrell. Visitors at the
service and later with Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Farrell and family,
were Ada Farrell, Ripley,. Mr. and
Mrs. Donald MacDonald, Peter
and Philip, Kincardine Township,
Mr. and Mrs. Courtney MacDon-
ald and Janice Farrell of London,
Torn Kempton of Amberley and
Mr. and -Mrs, Jake Smith; Jason,
Jenny and Holly of Underwood
and Jill MacDonald.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Irvin had
an anxious day or two during the
week after hearing that their
grandson, Harold Stirling, was in
hospital following a tumble from a
second storey window of his home
in Thamesville but were relieved
to learn that- he is fine.
Mrs: Lloyd Hodges returned
home on Saturday after spending
a few days in hospital in London.
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil McNall and
family had a sale recently and
moved out to the West last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Rick Park and
family have moved into the home
on the Mill Hill recently vacated
by the McNall's.
The Dungannon Agricultural
Society's annual Spring Dance
held at Saltford Hall on Saturday
night was very successful with the
tickets being sold out in advance.
Everyone seemed to have a good
time and the lunch, supplied by
the members, was well received.
Winners of a 50-50 draw held in
conjunction with the dance were
as follows, lst, $142.50, Mr. R.
MacDonald, Ripley; 2nd, $84.90,
George Smyth; 3rd, $56.60, Mrs.
Sharon Dawson.
Mr. and Mrs. Wif Pentland
have returned home after spend-
ing the winter in Florida.

UNITED CHURCH
Rev. C. G. Westhaver spoke on
Sunday morning on the topic,
"The Bible Book Still Being
Written". The children's story,
during which the picture of a
leopard was shown, was the
conclusion of the story of Sundar
Singh.
Mrs. Bessie McNee reports
that sixty Observer subscriptions
are being forwarded to Toronto
with some financial assistance
from the UCW.
DUNGANNON CHRISTIAN
FELLOWSHIP CHURCH
As April 30 was pulpit ex-
change Sunday in the Northern
Division of the Mennonite Chur-
ches, the pulpit of the Christian
Fellowship Church was occupied
by Brian Laverty of Listowel.
Pastor Lawrence was in Floradale.
Church, near Elmira.
The M.Y.F. are planning a
social evening to take the form of
a. "gym" night of recreation at
Brookside Public School later this
week.

Dixie Cameron spoke to the
Grade 8 Geography classes on
Thursday, April 27th.She showed
slides and discussed the artifacts
she had brought from Australia
where she spent some months
last year as a representative of
Junior Farmers. Everyone found
her talk most interesting.
All the classes involved in the
Spring concert are busy putting
the finishing touches on their acts
as' the dress rehearsal and the
eoncert are this week,, . .

won by the first 24 names drawn.
Friday was a Professional
Development Day so the students
had a holiday while the teachers
went to Huron Centennial School
at Brucefield for the day to attend
a variety of lectures and work-
shops conducted by experts in the
various • subject areas.
