Mr. and Mrs. Dave McGlynn of
Kitchener visited the weekend
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Joe Tiffin, and on Sunday with
i"er grandmother, Mrs. Orville
Tiffin, a patient at Wingham' and
District Hospital.
Mrs. Brian Falconer of Sarnia
visited with her sister Mrs. Alan
Falconer while Brian was assist-
ing at work with a large crane at
Douglas Point.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl McClen-
aghan, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kerr of
Bluevale and Mr. and Mrs. Ivan
Laidlaw attended the wake of the
late John Donald Ross in Wiarton
on Tuesday.
Roddy Inglis of Earlton visited
last week with his brother Tom
Inglis of West Wawanosh.
Weekend visitors with their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Rintoul, were Mr. and Mrs. Dave
Oberholtzer, Jeffery and Julie of
Waterloo, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Campbell of Kitchener.
Mrs. FredDavis of Windsor
visited with her mother, Mrs.
Agnes Farrier, from Thursday to
Saturday.
Irwin McClenaghan and son,
Ron, of St. Thomas were Saturday
visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Carl
McClenaghan and Mrs. Ben
McClenaghan.
Mr. and Mrs. Doug Baird (nee
June Ross), Shelley and Angela,
of Cayuga, on their way home
from her father's funeral, visited
on Thursday with Mr. and Mrs.
Carl McClenaghan and Mrs. Ben
McClenaghan..
The farmers in this locality
were busy last week cultivating
the ground which they say is
working up well and ready to be
sown.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Snowden and
Bill Jr. of Goderich visited on
Sunday with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Joe Tiffin, and with her
grandmother, Mrs. Orville Tiffin
at Wingham Hospital.
Mrs. James Wilson, Wingham,
and her. father, Robert Mowbray,
visited on Friday at London with
Bertha MacKay who is not
enjoying_ good health and with
,.Rev. and Mrs. Angus MacKay.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ducharme of
Goderich were Saturday visitors
with her parents Mr. and Mrs.
Elroy Laidlaw.
Congratulations to Bob Ross
who on Thursday arrived home
having completed a 2 year
itechurch
Mechanical Drafting Course at
Kitchener.
We are ;sorry to report that
Mrs. Bill Versteeg's father is still
a patient at University Hospital,
London. He will be moved to
Wingham Hospital when accom-
modation is. available.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Osborne,
Bethany, Anna and Laura left
Sunday evening for Trenton to
spend. _a few days with her
parents, Rev. „arid Mrs. Hobbs
and Ruth.
Mr. and Mrs.. Harry Gutoskie,
Michael and Michelle of -Waterloo
were Wednesday visitors with her
parents, Mr, and Mrs. Bill
Rintoul.
We are sorry to report the
passing of Mrs. James Mclrath
April 20th at North Bay Hospital
in her 89th, year. Mrs. Mclrath
was buried in Mount Pleasant
Cemetery; Toronto. Mr, and Mrs.
Irath came to Whitechurch,
August 1942, and resided at the
home now owned by Mr. and
Mrs. Wardrop. They sold the
home Dere in 1970 and went to
live with thein daughter and
son-in-law at Nipissing. Mr.
Mclrath passed away September
1975. While here Mrs. Irath was
active as a member of the choir
and president of the Ladies' Aid,
of Chalmer's Presbyterian
Church.
Mrs. Edith Brown of London
visited Friday evening to Satur-
day with her parents, -Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Evans.
On Saturday the Y.P.S. held a
bee and raked the church lawn at
Chalmer's Presbyterian Church.
Whitechurch Children's Group
Activity held their first meeting in
Whitechurch Hall on Saturday,

April 29 with a` large group of
children 3-12 years in attendance.
Those sponsoring the project
were Janet Laidlaw, Vickie Scott,
Jeanette Baier and helpers, Cindy
Moore and Mrs. V. Emerson. The
children were divided into groups
to hear stories, and they played
games.
On Thursday afternoon White-
church ladies entertained at
Pinecrest Manor' Nursing Horne
for the April birthday party.
Musical numbers were put on by
pianist, Mrs. Agnes Farrier;
hdrpest, Mrs. Lorne Durnin;
violinist, Mr. Robert Mowbray.
Mrs. Harvey Osborne with the
ukele and daughter, Bethany,
sang and Mrs. Osborne sang a
solo. Birthday gifts were present-
ed to Margaret Hall, Dr. Anna
Wright and Ellen Gardner.
The community extends a
warm welcome to Mr. and Mrs.
Paul Geiger who moved' in op
Saturday to f the home they
recently purchased from Albert
Coultes.
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Conn of
Wingham were Friday- callers on
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Evans.
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson
were Sunday callers on Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Porteous of Lucknow.
