P -resident, Dorothy Farrish, wecomed 49 members who at- tended. Gerda de Jong thanked the Anglican Ladies for the delicious meal and a short sing song was conducted with Donalda Moffat at the organ. The trophies and prizes were presented to the season and Bowling TOWN AND COUNTRY BOWLING LEAGUE Margaret McDonald had high single for the ladies with 212. High double went to Anna Johnstone with 344. 'High single for the men went to Jim McNaughton with 179. Harv- ey Houston took the double with 327. Games over' 200: Margaret McDonald 212, Elleda Wightman 211. Team points: Reds 0, Yellows 5, Greens Violets 0. Trophies were presented by Russel Swan. Season's high scores: men's high average, Jim Lavis; high triple, Fraser MacKinnon and high single, Harold Campbell. Lloyd MacDougall made the Place second in trouble shooting contest On 26 April 1978, a team comprised of Joe Brophy and Pat Murray represented the F. E. -Madill Secondary School at the Chrysler Automotive ' Trouble Shooting Contest. The contest which is an annual event is ., sponsored by the Chrysler Com- pany of Canada and this year it was held at the company's truck centre in Toronto. Sixteen school teams from as far north as Sault Ste. Marie and ftrom centres west of Toronto to London competed in the event. Madill coach, Mr. T. R. Willis, reported that the competition was tough and keen; only six of the sixteen vehicles in the contest reached final judging. When the dust finally settled, the F. E. Madill team had collected only 3 demerit points which gave them a very creditable second place finish. The team is to be congratulated for their excellent showing of skill and workman- ship. The Madill team was sponsored in the. Chrysler contest by Crawford Motors of Wingham. presentation. Ladies: high aver- age, Linda- Stanley; high triple, Doris MacKinnon and Edith Kloostra and Gerda de Jong were tied for high single. Eileen Wilson presented the trophies. Playoff champs, The Spys, Russell 'and Nancy . $wan, Mike and Betty Lou Dalton, Steve and Nancy Corkum, Jon and Jan Zydbel, Eileen Wilson and Jack Henderson. Don Farrish present- ed the trophies, donated by Ernie Webb. Playoff high men: Russel Swan, high triple and Alex Hackett, high single. Gifts were presented by Evan Keith. High ladies: Eileen Wilson, high triple and Angie Farrish, high single. Doris Mac- Kinnon presented the gifts. Most improved man bowler of the year was Hank Hartemink and Doris MacKinnon was most improved lady bowler. All regular bowlers and spares were presented with a little gift to remind them of their good and bad scores of the season. The executive for next season is president, Nancy Swan; vice president, Donald Moffat and secretary treasurer, , Gerda de Jong. Dorothy Farrish, past president, was thanked for her work. Games of cards were played following the trophy presenta- tions and business. High man was Evan Keith and Marion Campbell was high lady. Low man was Don Farrish and Aggie Duech was low lady. "Noisy Ladies" play exhibition A new season has begun for the Lucknow "Noisy Ladies" Softball Team. An exhibition game was played on Sunday, April 23rd against the Goderich Super 'Stars. Itwas a close game, with Goderich,, win- ning in the ninth inning by one run. This Wednesday night, May 3rd, at 7 p.m., another exhibition game will be played against Bayfield at the Dungannon Bali Park.
