Word has been received of the
death of Norman R. O'Loughlin of
Sun City, Arizona on April 4, at
age 70 years. Born in Ashfield
Township, he was the second son
of Joseph and May (Griffin)
O'Loughlin, He attended school
at S. S. # 9 Ashfield and
graduated from St. Joseph's High
School, Kingsbridge in 1920. The
family moved to Detroit, Michi-
gan in .1927. He was the vice
president of the J. L. O'Loughlin
Plumbing and Heating Company
until 1962, going to Los Angeles
and then to Sun City in 1965 and
was associated with the Dell
Webb Company. Sympathy of
this community is extended to the
family.
George Pollock, Service Rep-

Ambrose Redmond, Heavy
Equipment mechanics employed
by the Champion Roads Machin-
ery Company, Goderich returned
on Saturday, April 15 following 6
weeks in Zambia, Africa, modify-
ing graders.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken King,
Welland, Mr. and Mrs. John
Dietrich and son John of Missis-
sauga, Mr. and Mrs. Peter
Martin and family of Glammis
were weekend visitors. with -Mrs.
Clarice Dalton and family.
Congratulations to Mr. and
Mrs. Donald Hamilton on the
occasion of their 25th wedding
anniversary. A large crowd at-
tended the anniversary dance at
the Lucknow. Legion on Friday,
April 14.

attended the wedding of David
Edwards to Stana Zupancic on
Saturday, April 8 in St. John the

Jeannette (Michaud) Courtney on
the birth of a baby boy, Ryan
.;,Patrick, 5 lbs, 5 oz., on Thursday,
April 13 in St. John's Hospital at
Edson, Alberta. A first grand-
, child for Joe and Teresa Court-
ney, R. R. .1 Dungannon and the
second grandchild for Roland and
Emily Michaud of Cochrane,
. Alberta.
Teachers in the five high
schools in- Huron County were
back at their desks on Thursday,
April 13. ,
Several from this area attended
the Spring Variety Concert held at
the St. Mary's School in Goderich
on Friday, April 14.
Students at St. Joseph's
School, Kingsbridge, enjoyed
another holiday on Friday, April
14 as the teachers helka Profes-
sional Activity Day. Beginning at
9 a.m. to 10.30 they held a staff
meeting; 10.30 -. 12.00 teacher
meetings by grade with principal
to discuss grade progress; 10.30 -
12.00 individual unit planning;
12.00 - 1.00 lunch; 1.00 - 1.30
principal David. Zyluk, Joanne
Hamilton, Harold Zettler and
Rose Frayne met to discuss
preparations for the Operetta to
be held on May 18 and May 19;
1.00 - 1.30 Mary O'Keefe, Barb
Eedy and Nancy Park met for a
final review of the Kiwanis
Festival. Grades Kindergarten, to
Grade 4 will take part in this
festival on Monday, April 17; 1.30.

Hamilton, Harold ,Zettler made
preparation of the timeline for
track and field; ,1.30 - 2.00 Mary
O'Keefe, Barb Eedy, Nancy Park
and Rose Frayne made plans for
the 1978 language program; 2.00 A
4.00 all the staff attended a Lead
Up Games workshop for Physical
Education.
A metric workshop is being
planned to' be held at the school
for interested parents. Mr. David
Zylttk will be the instructor.
Grade 8s of Kingsbridge are
planning a Crazy Day for Thurs-
day, April 20. For this occasion
the teachers and the children will
come to school dressed in
costumes from the 1950s. Gradu-
ation Day for the Grade 8s will be
held on Thursday, June 29.

THE STANDING
GENERAL GOVERNMENT
COMMITTEE
The Standing General Government Committee will
be considering Sessional Paper :1.13, "Policy
Options for Continuing Tenant Protection" on eight
Wednesdays commencing April 12, 1978. The first
six of these meetings will consider Rent Review
Legislation and the last two The Landlord and
Tenant Act.
