The Lucknow Sentinel, 1978-04-05, Page 63LENA MYRTLE LANE Obituaries Lena Myrtle (Congram) Lane, R. R. 2 Holyrood, died in Plnecrest Manor Nursing Home on April 5, 1978. Born in Kinloss Township on April 18, 1896, she was in her 82nd year. She was the daughter of the late William Congram and the late Mary Anti Scott, She married the late Malcolm Lane of Kinloss Township in April of 1923. She was a member of Kinlough Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her family, Everett Lane, Caledonia; Hugh Lane, Holyrood; Kathleen, Mrs. GEORGE 0. George 0. McCallum, Elma Street, Listowel, died on April 5, 1978, at Listowel Memorial Hosp- ital at the a4e of 84. A member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 259 and the Bernard Masonic Lodge 225, he was a cabinet maker with the Andrew Malcolm Furniture Fact- ory until his retirement. He belonged to Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel. Born on July 4, 1893, in Wallace Township, he was the son of the late John McCallum, and the late Clarissa King. ' In November, 1918 he married Elizabeth Sanderson who surviv- es. A son, Clarence of Fergus and three daughters, Helen, Mrs. Lloyd Ackert of Holyrood; Marie, Mrs. Robert Jones of Stratford and Shirley, Mrs. Rowland Kauf- man of Wingham also survive: He is survived by two sisters, Winnifred Johnson of Listowel, and Matilda Clarke of Cambridge (Galt) and thirteen grandchildren. The funeral service was held' on Friday, April 7, 1978, from the Robert Trench Funeral Rome, Listowel, with Rev. J; J. Harold Morris conducting... A brother, Cecil Congram, Holyrood and a sister, Phoebe, Mrs. Harry Campbell, Armow, also survive. She was predeceased by her husband, an infant daughter, a brother and an infant grandson. Funeral service was held from the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow, on April 7, at :2 p.m. Rev. Thompson officiated. Grandsons, Terry Lane and Gordon Brown were flower bear- ers: McCALLUM ed in Fairview Cemetery, Listow- el. Pallbearers were Robert Mc= Callum, Richard McCallum, John Ackert, Paul Ackert, Jack Clarke, and Lee Burnett. The Bernard Masonic Lodge # 225 held a memorial service at the funeral home on Thursday, April 6, at 9 .p.m. Pallbearers were Donald Bush- ell, Bill Shaw, Fred Guest, James MacEwan, Keith Maulden and Ronald Lane.
