Perhaps "IMPACT" will have better luck than
I've had at trying to get back my digital alarm
from the General Time Corp. in Illinois. They've
had it there since last October for repairs and I'm
still awaiting its return.
To add to my frustration, two letters I've written
making inquiries have been completely ignored.
Hope you can help as my boss is not too un-
derstnding when I'm late for work.
The Illinois firm claim that your alarm was sent
to you on January 14th and are baffled at its non-
appearance. They are now, checking with the Post
Offices involved and if they can't locate it have
promised to send you on a brand new model.
If I am served with a Summons directing me to
appear in Small Claims Court on thel7th of April,
1978 what must 1 do?
!Depending upon the severity of the dispute and the
amount claimed against you, you may wish to
consult a lawyer. If legal aid services are available
in your area you may wish to obtain some advice on
your legal position. The Clerk of the Small Claims.
Court is available for questions you may have on
time limits, forms, procedure and the like.
One thing to remember is that you, as defendant
will have ten days in which to file a "dispute" t0 the
plantiff's claim. Once filed, the matter will then be
set down for trial which may be several months,
!away.
