MRS. THERESA DRAPER
Mrs. Theresa Draper of
Goderich died suddenly at her
home on Thursday, March 16.
She was 83.
She' was, born on June 1,
1894 in 'Ashfield Township to
Alexander and Mary Anne
(Matheson) Young. .
She was predeceased by
her husband, William
Draper.
She is survived by three
sons, Elton of Port Albert,,,
Elmer also of Port Albert and
Leroy of Goderich; one sister,
Mrs. Archie (Leona) Grenier
of Port Albert; three gran-
dchildren, Mrs.' Jim
(Darlene) Fielder, Wayne
and Brian; and two great-
grandchildren, Debbie and
Darryl.
A funeral service was held
at McCallum Funeral Horne
on Sunday, Marche 19 at 2:30
-p.m. The Reverend Ronald C.
McCallum officiated.
Interment was in Christ
Church Cemetery at Port
Albert.
Pallbearers were Ron
Meader, Arnold Meader,
George Fritzley, Bill Brown,
Jim Hayden and Doug Young.
Flowerbearers were Wayne
Draper, Brian Draper and
Jim Fielder, all grandsons of
Mrs. Draper.

! THOMPSON'
Christine Thompson passed
away in Oshawa in her 65th
year on March 25 after a
lengthy illness.
The eldest daughter of the
late Tena and Dan Thompson,
she was born in Huron Twp.
in 1914. She attended S.S. 12
and graduated from Ripley
Continuation School.
After training at Stratford
Normal, she was a teacher in
Dufferin and Durham
Counties, latera joining the
Oshawa Board Of Education
from which she retired in
1974 after 25 years of service.
The funeral was from the
McCreath Funeral Home in
Ripley on Wednesday, March
29.
She is survived by one
sister, Grace, Mrs. Stan
Chambers and four brothers
John D. Roy, Allan and
Murray and four nieces and
nephews.
GEORGE L. FARRISH
George L. Farrish of 45
Bristol Terrace in Wingham
died at his home on Monday,
March 13 in his 47th year.
He was born in Ashfield
Township on April 1, 1931 to
Beatrice (Stein) and Lorne
Farrish. He attended S.S.
Number 10 Ashfield Public
School and Lucknow High
School.
He is survived by his wife,
Marjorie Horton (Merkley) ;
his father, Lorne Farrish of
Lucknow; one daughter, Mrs.
Doug (Linda) Brindley of
Welland; two stepdaughters,
Mrs. Jack (Shirley) Wright of
R.R. 1 Clifford and Mrs.'
Douglas (Jennice) Davidson
of Wingham; three brothers,
Jack of R.R. 7 Lucknow,
Donald of R.R. 3 Lucknow
and Harold of Listowel; one
sister, Mrs. Gordon (Win-
nifred) Walters of Goderich;
and two grandchildren,
Tricia and Kelly Brindley of
Welland.
A funeral service was held
on Thursday March 16 at the
R.A. Currie and Son Funeral
Home in Wingham. The
Reverend Barry Passmore
officiated.
Interment was in Greenhill
Cemetery, Lucknow.
Of the 200 known species
of oak, 75 are native to the
United States.
