On Wednesday evening March 22, Reverend Father Loebach of St. Peter's, Goderich . and Reverend Father Sonderup, Sacred Heart, Wingham assisted Reverend Father Dentinger, Parish Priest with the Penitential Service. Mrs. Genevieve Kinahan was admitted to the Wingham and District General Hospital on Wednesday, March 22. Her friends here wish her a speedy recovery. !Mrs. Jack Kinney returned from a circuit trip visiting her O'Loughlin relatives. She visited her sister, Norine Sch- midt in the Philaddelphia area, then they met Reverend Father Raphael O'Loughlin, C.S.B. of Basilian Mexican Missions, Mexico City and ,vacationed at Freeport, Texas. Their sister, Margaret Shea, Berkley, Michigan was unable to join them due to the storm. From Houston, Texas to Ontario Airport, California she met . her cousin Mar- celline (O'Loughlin) Verweil living in Riverside, then to Sun City, Arizona where Norman O'Loughlin _ lives, and returning then by Clearwater, Florida to see her brother', Len. The eleven weeks were more interesting due to the extreme and unusual weather conditions but, Bernardine says "Kingsbridge looks the best" and "Only that travelling is good that reveals to one the value of home and enables one ,to enjoy it better". (Henry David Thoreau) Mr. and Mrs. George Brophy and family moved to their new home in Lucknow on Saturday, March 25. They will be missed in this com- munity. Peter Vogt, G.M.T.S.N. and his fiancee, Wendy Tovar, of Chicago visited during the past week with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Peter J. Vogt and family. Sue Vogt of Livonia, Michigan spent the Easter Holiday weekend with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hef- fernan and family visited during the past week with his mother Mrs. Ormond Hef- fernan and with his sister, Mrs. Antone Van Osch, Mr. Van Osch and family. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sinnett and family left here on Thursday, March 16 for holidays in South Carolina and a visit with his mother, Mrs. Nora Sinnett and sister, Mrs. Joseph O'Brien and family in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Mr: and Mrs. John Sheardown and children of St. Thomas and Blanche Bilodeau of Waterloo spent the Easter holiday vacation with Mrs. Ormond Heffernan. Frances Gilmore of London visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jim 1 Gilmore during the past week. Eddie Sinnett who has been vacationing with his parents Jim and Yvonne Sinnett and family returned to the boat the S.S. GULF CANADA on Monday, March 20. Raymond Dalton arrived home on Sunday, March 19 just in time to take part in the annual- St. Patrick's Variety •concert at. Kingsbridge. Ray had been away for the winter months, leaving on December 15 for holidays with his daughter, Kathy, Mr. and Mrs. Jim MacDonald and family in Chilliwack, B.C. He then travelled to the sunny south where hevisited with Mr. and Mrs. Don Doucette in West Palm Beach, Florida; Mr. and Mrs. Claire O'Reilly and Mr. and Mrs. Jen O'Loughlin at Clearwater, Florida; visiting in St. Augustine, Florida and Washington, D.C. Before his return to Kingsbridge . he. visited with his sisters, Mrs. Margery . O'Connor, Pickering; Sister Maureen, Marian Villa, London where he took part in the St. Patrick program there on March 17. With • Sister Maureen they visited with another sister, Mrs. Josie Cleary in Wallaceburg. Hockey fans were kept busy this past week with the Goderich Young Canada pee wee hockey week held in Goderich; the Harriston Bantam Tournament and the Wingham Midget Tour- nament. Joe and Teresa Courtney visited on Easter Sunday afternoon, March 26 with Mr. Frank Sullivan who is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital, London. Frank is now walking with the help of a walker since breaking his hip on March 16. When it called it was answered by two more black- birds further back in the swamp where they couldn't be seen. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bongertman of Lucknow formerly of I. ngside are motoring out west to see their two daughters in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Mary is stationed at the Air force base there and Joanne is working near by. Russell Springer spent a few days last week with Ken Young. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Young, Beth, Jane and Erin of Chesley visited last Thursday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Young of Lucknow. Joanne De Boer spent part of her winter break holiday with her sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Koobs of Gowanstown. Karen and Liane Young visited last Wednesday with their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Young. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald George of London spent the weekened at their farm home. Mr. and Mrs. Len Coughlin, Kellay, Kim, and Karey returnedhome Saturday evening after spending last week in Hamilton and Toronto. Easter service was held in Whitechurch Presbyterian church on Sunday. An Easter number was sung by the choir. The Young Peoples held their meeting at, the manse Sunday evening. •Russell Young of Toronto and Debbie Ferguson of New Market spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Young, Walden -McCreath Mr. and Mrs. Wm. P. McCreath of Ripley, wish to. announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Shirley Anne, R.N., to Peter James, son of Mrs. Marian Walden and the late Murray Walden, RR1 Ripley. The ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 1.5, 1978 at 4:00 p.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church, Ripley. -13 Little N.H.L. Arthur Clark and Allan Eadie dented the net with one each. Assists went to Allan Rivett and Arthur Clark with two while Allan Eadie, Brian Taylor, John Hopf, Ed Davidson and David Gibson each took one assist. 'The third game was played on March 24 and eight of the players who remained in Wainfleet were billeted in homes there: - The last game against Otonabee was a rough game the boys won 4-2. Scoring for Lucknow were Allan Rivett with two, while Ed Davidson and Glen Raynard each drove one pagt the goalie. Assists went to . Allan Rivett, Ed. Davidson, Art Clark and Glen Raynard. Jerry Searle. and Scott Tibett played excellent goal for the team helping to bring home the consolation trophy.
