The minutes of the. February
meeting were read by the secret-
ary, Mrs. Bert Gammie. Since
this was the Curator's meeting,
22 members and `3 visitors
answered thle roll call with "Do
you remember?" by recalling a
histortcat event which happened
in Lucknow during the past 75
years.
The hall was decorated for St.
Patricks and Mrs. Leddy opened
the program with an Irish Joke. .
We enjoyed familiar Irish songs
by Mrs. Jack Wraith, Mrs.
Howard Barger, Mrs. Grace,
.Gibson and Mrs. Mary MacGilliv-
ray with Mrs. West Ritchie at the
piano. Mrs. N. J. MacKenzie
gave a reading "Where there is
Love". An ,interesting motto
dealing with the Early Days in
Lucknow was prepared by Miss
Ada Webster and read by Mrs.
Jack Collinson. Mrs. Leddy.
conducted a guessing contest
with Mrs: Philip Stewart winning
the prize.
Mrs. Margaret Blue of Ripley
was the guest speaker. She gave a
most interesting and informative
travelogue on her recent trip
through Western Europe. Mrs.
Blue was thanked and presented
with a gift by Mrs. N. J.
MacKenzie.
In the evening several of our
members, as invited guests,
attended the Junior Institute.
meeting.
The annual meeting will take
the form of a pot luck dinner and
will be held on Tuesday, April 11
at 12.30 p.m.

The seventh meeting of
Trinity No. 1 was held at the
home of Mrs, Charles Wilkins
at 1:30 p.m. The president,
Patty Barger opened the
meeting. The roll call was
answered: Name an im-
portant rule for babysitters.
Mrs. Wilkins discussed
First Aid in Emergencies and
Babysitting and Baby Care.
She used a doll to show how to
apply mouth-to-mouth
resucitation. Mrs. Hackett
discussed the Parents'
Responsibilities - to the
Babysitter and Mrs. Wilkins
discussed Getting Along with
the Children. .
Mrs. Hackett conducted a
quiz and the meeting closed
with refreshments. After-
wards the girls spent some
time crocheting. Two girls
who did not know how,
learned to crochet a simple
bookworm.
Town & country
Town and Country Club , held
their Irish program in the Legion
Hall on March 15th at 2 p.m.
Mrs. Peter MacDonald opened
by welcoming everyone. A sing
song was led by Mrs. Clare.
Johnstone with Mrs. Harvey
Webster at the piano. A reading,
"How Paddy,stole the rope", was
given by Miss Sadie Johnston.
Mrs. George Kennedy gave a
humorous Rovering Reporters'
News Report.
A group called "The Irish
Rovers" consisting—of pianist,
Madame O'Toole, Mrs. Harvey
Webster; Molly Huldoon, Ida
Barger; Katie O'Hara, Grace
Gibson; Sheilla O'Shaughnessy,
J. Jardine and Will Millar, Anna
Johnstone, sang a selection of
Irish music.
Mrs. Peter MacDonald had a
couple'of contests. Then everyone
enjoyed cards.

welcome the blessed gift of a son,
James Michael (Jamie) at St.
'Joseph's Hospital, London, • Sat-
urday, March 18th, 1978 at 14:24
p.m., weighing 8 lb. 1 oz. (3.66
kg) and measuring 20" • long
(51cm). A baby brother for
Gregory William. Jamie is the
second grandson for Mr. and
Mrs. W. J. (Bill) Harris of London
and Mr. and Mrs C. J. Hancock
of West Hill, Ontario. Proud great
grandmothers are Mrs. Elizabeth
Ferguson, Pinecrest- Nursing
