The March meeting of the St.
Augustine C.W.L. was held in the
vestry. on March 7.
Father Dentinger opened the
meeting with prayer and presid-
ent, Mrs. Cyril Boyle, presided in
the chair.
• The conveners gave their
reports. Correspondence, Mrs. G.
Redmond; Church- " Wei, Mrs.
Franken; Cultural Live, Leona
Boyle.
Emma Franken is to look after
flowers for Easter. It was
• reported that new kitchen cup-
boards will soon be built in.
The 1977 slate of officers will
act for 1978.
Father Ed Dentinger gave •a
talk on help in faith and Mary
Boyle gave a reading. The
meeting closed and lunch was
served.

Mrs. Jean West •opened the
. meeting with call to worship
followede-by. prayer. Meditation,
"Overcoming Loneliness" was
given by Mrs. West.
Eleven ladies answered the roll
• call, a verse with love in it. Mrs.
Lloyd Collins gave a poem,
"Love" and offertory prayer was
given by Mrs. Gordon Robb.
Mrs. Warren Wylds led in the
study "Mission and Concept".
Everyone took part in suggestions
and a discussion followed.—..
Scriptures were read and discus-
sed. Mrs. Jim MacKenzie
favoured with accordian solos.
Mrs. Warren Wylds conducted
the business. Supply envelopes
were handed out and are to be
returned by end of May to Mrs.
Henry MacKenzie; also used
clothing. Anyone with, used eye
glasses, cards or stamps may be
given to Mrs. Stuart MacLennan
by the end of March to be sent to
needy countries.
Mrs. Jean West gave the
closing prayer. Lunch and a social
time followed.

Lucknow United Church 'Women
was held in the Fellowship Room
on, Tuesday, February 21st at 8,00
p.m. The president, Mrs. Glen
Walden,, welcomed the ladies
with the reading, "What is Life?"
Mrs. Walden urged the com-
mittee conveners to meet with
their unit counterparts to plan
their work for the coming year.
The schedule for Pinecrest Manor
visitation is. as follows. Unit 4 -
Marti.), Unit 3, April, Unit 2 - May
and Unit 1 - June. The ladies were
reminded of the World Day of
Prayer to be held in St., Peter's
Anglican Church, Friday, March..
3rd and the Presbyteriat Meeting,
Monday, March 6th in Port Elgin.
There will be nursery facilities
available for the latter.
Mrs. Robt. Campbell of the
Citizenship and Social Action
committee,' • presided for the
devotions. Mrs. Harvey Webster
at the piano_ accompanied the
singing of hymns. Mrs. Walter
Dexter led in prayer and Mrs.
Walden gave the meditation, by
'showing slides of scenery, using
the seasons and reading passages
of scripture pertinent to the
pictures. Piano instrumentals by
Mrs. H. Webster were enjoyed by
the ladies.

Mrs, Eldon Bradley introduced
the guest speaker, Mrs. Jack
•Reavie of Wingham, who spoke
on her work at the Golden Circle
School which is for children •of
ages five to nineteen with an
attendance of twenty-four at
present. The school is now a part.*
of the public school and shares
the library, gymnasium etc. with
the other children. Mrs. Reavie
also showed slides of their classes
and wqrkshop.
Mrs, Jack McDonagh very
capably thanked the speaker. The
offering was received by Mrs.
Jack Kilpatrick and Mrs. Eldon
Henderson and dedicated by Mrs.
.Gordon Kirkland. Mrs. Peter
Cook closed the meeting with
prayer.
