Frank ' Maulden and Keith went to Goderich on Friday where they visited their uncle, Rev. Andrew Lane . who is in the hospital there. His many friends here withhim improved health. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Haldenby and Sara went to London Satur- day to visit her mother, Mrs. Alex Percy, who is progressing favour- ably at University Hospital. Wayne Percy and Michael Weber visited Thursday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Glen Haldenby and family. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scott were guests in London at a dinner party for a friend on his retirement and also visited with Mrs. Mary Boyle. They journeyed on . to Chatham where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Pangburn. The latter's many friends are sorry to know she isn't enjoying the best of health. Relatives from a distance who KINGSBRIDGE 4-H CLUB The first meeting of the Kings- bridge 4•H club was held on Wednesday, February 22, at the home of Honnie Scott, with 11 members present. The leaders of the club are Mils. Honnie Scott and Mrs. Ann Andrews. Election of .officers took place with Donna VanOsch as presid- ent, Jackie VanOsch as vice president and Cathy VanDiepan as secretary. The roll call was answered by everyone, "What 4-H means to me". BY LORRAINE McGUIRE Mr. Gerald Coiling met with a painful accideit'last week when'a battery exploded in his face while" working at his garage in Ripley. It seemed at the time that the sight of one eye had been badly damaged, however the report from .the doctor on Sunday was more favourable and 'they are hoping for a fairly good recovery. His wife expects to be able to bring him home from Owen Sound Hospital on Monday (Feb- ruary 27th). Our best wishes to him for a complete recovery. Miss Wendy Hamilton spent the weekend with Susan Tout of Kincardine. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Reeves and Susan of Ripley, Brent Coiling and. Huron Bruce Pony Club Huron Bruce Pony Club held its second meeting of the month on Sunday 19th at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Thompson of Teeswatet. Kathy, Grant opened the meet- ing with the suggestion that the Club have an Easter Draw, the winner receiving an 'Easter Bask- et. Gail Thompson then gave a short talk on her day in Caledon at a Pony Club Instructors Course. The talk on Hunting was very interesting and some of the terms and expressions that are used in this Sport gave the members a few chuckles plus many points for discussion. The, quiz on Bits and Bitting was quite a challenge to everyone. The. meeting ended with every- one having hot chocclate, and roasting hot dogs and marshmal- lows. Our next meeting„will be held on March 5th at 1.30 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Taylor of Lucknow. The topic will be "Tack" and the quiz will be on Hunting.
