Zippy Trinettes #1 had their
first meeting on February 14 at
Mrs. D. A. Hackett's home. The
election of officers resulted with
president, Patty Barger; vice
president, Brenda Hackett; sec-
retary, Sharon Alton and press
reporter, Elizabeth Wilkins.
The members answered the roll
call: What 4-H means to me. The
leaders distributed the Member's
Pamphlets and Mrs. Hackett
introduced the project and dis-
cussed Focus on 4 iH. Mrs.
Wilkins discussed the Record
Book and Developing Good Men-
tal Habits. We discussed the
materials required for the quilting
we are to do at the next meeting
and our "Happiness Picture" and
"Myself Envelope". The meeting
closed with refreshments.
Trinity I held their first meeting
at the home of Mrs. D. A.
Hackett. The leaders of this club,
"Focus on Living", are Mrs..
Charles Wilkins and Mrs. D. A.
Hackett. Eight.. members answer-
ed the roll call, "What 4-H means
to me".

answered the roll call, Name one
or more quilted articles -you have
at home.
The , leaders discussed how to
quilt and each girl made her own
quilted sample. All members
agreed that they want to learn to
crochet and this will be one at a
special meeting during Winter
Break.
ST. HELENS LIVELY SEVEN
The first meeting of the St.
Helens Lively Seven was held on
February 21, 1978 in St. Helens
Hall. The leaders for this club are
Mrs. Elaine Errington, and Mrs.
Luba Weber.
Election of officers was then
held which is as follows: presid-
ent, Dawn Brown; vice president,
Barb Aitchison; treasurer, Mar-
ion Raynard; secretary, Rotation-
al.
The leaders outlined the project
and told the members the articles
that they are required to make.
We discussed the meaning of
the four H's (Head, Heart, Hands
and Health). We also talked about
mental health and the "Pointers
for Emotional Health".

The third meeting of the Clover
Valley' Zany Zippers was held at
the home of Charlene Elphick on
February 21.„,
Each member answered the roll
call which was show my complet-
ed line and colour plan and
explain `my choice for my basic
colour.
Helen Simpson read the min-
utes of the last meeting. Our
cover has a light blue background
with a dark blue sewing machine.
Each member took turns at
reading Wardrobe Building
Steps 1, 2 and 3. The leaders
handed out patterns and the
members did the alterations on
the shoulder, bust, sleeve and
bodice back.

The fourth meeting of the
Kairshea Klothes Kloset opened
with the 4-H pledge. Eight
members present answered the
roll call. Kathy Parker read the
minutes of the last meeting.
We decided our next meeting
will be at Mrs. Doelman's on
March 2, 1978 at 4.00 p.m.
We also decided that each
member is to bring anideal
picture for our covers to the next
meeting.
Mrs. Dickie read from her book
and discussed it. Mrs, Doelman
demonstrated how to make darts
and gathers for our shirts on the
sewing machine.
CLOVER VALLEY 4-H

The fourth meeting of the
Clover Valley Zany Zippers was
held on Thursday, February 23rd
at the home of Peggy Gibson. All
members answered the roll call
which was, two questions I ask
myself or the salesperson when I
am shopping for clothes, fabric or
accessories. .
Karen Metzger read the minut-
es of the last meeting and we
decided to have the next meeting.
on Thursday, March"2nd, at the
home of Gayle MacKenzie at 7.00
p.m.
The leaders discussed clothing
and the consumer and how to be a
careful shopper when buying
clothes. They also gave us some
suggestions for satisfied spend-
ing. Stay stitching, darts, and
gathers were demonstrated by
the leaders and the members then
began to practice these on their
own garments. The leaders also
discussed preparation of the
garment for the first fitting. We
closed the meeting with the 4-H
creed.
