were Mr. and Mrs, Doug Martyn.
Mrs. Gordon Finlayson, Dun-
can and Kenneth were recent
visitors in Sarnia with Mr. and
Mrs. Rod Finlayson and attended
the baptismal services when Lori
and Lisa were baptized.
Decent visitors with Mrs. Emile
MacLennan and Sandy were
daughter, Margaret, Tena and
Jason of Sarnia and son George of
Toronto.
Sympathy of this community is
extended to the • relatives of Mr.,
Duncan Finlayson who passed
away in Toronto and to the
relatives of Mr. Bert Alton, who
passed away in. Wingham after a
lengthy illness.

Ship Yard, arrived home on
Sunday, February 19 to spend a
few days holidays with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter J.
Vogt and familY. Peter had the
misfortune to break his toe and is
wearing a cast to the knee. Other
weekend visitors with the Vogt's
were Miss Sue Vogt of Livonia,
Michigan; Miss Rose Zremski of
St. Clair Shores, 1VIichilan; Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Sandy of Goderich
and Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Sandy
and son Paul of Goderich.

place on Wednesday in Ashfield
Presbyterian Church when Di-
anne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Jack MacKenzie was married to
Ian Hamilton.
Mrs. Jim MacKenzie ' was
hostess on Thursday afternoon to
the W.M.S. of Ashfield Prpsby-
terian 'Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Farrish
enjoyed the hockey game in
Toronto recently when the New
York Rangers played the Toronto
team. Son David played a good
game of defence.

ALBERT BLAKE ALTON
Albert Blake Alton of Lucknow
passed away at Wingham and
District Hospital, Monday, Feb-
ruary 13, 1978, in his 73rd year,
after a long illness.
Mr. Afton was the youngest son
of the late Daniel K. Alton and
Elizabeth Blake. He was born on
his Ashfield farm where he spent
all his life until retiring to
LucknoW in 1972.
In 1935 he married Jessie May
Wilkins of Paisley and. their six
children mourn his passing. Four
daughters, Frances, Mrs. David
Elphick, Huron Township; Mary,
Mrs, Al Irwin, Victoria, B,C.;
Dorothy, Mrs. David. Harris,
Sydney, Australia;and ,JoAnne,
Mrs. John Hughes, Toronto. Two
sons, Kenneth and Donald of
Ashfield Township. He is also
survived by one sister Rachel,
Mrs. Percy Graharn, Lucknow
and ten grandchildren.
Mr. Alton was predeceased by
two sisters, Leitha, Mrs 1 Sam
Morrison and, Mabel; two broth-
ers, Roy and Leslie.
On Wednesday, February 15,
1978 at 9 p.m. many members of
the L.O.L 1328 and Royal Black
Preciptory. 132 gathered for

ews, Gordon Morrison, Alvin
Alton, Jack Graham and three
cousins, Blake Alton, Harvey
Alton and Russel Alton. °
Temporary entombment follow-
ed in Dungannon Mausoleum.
Burial is to follow in Dungannon "
Cemetery.
