Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Kettle of
Cottom spent last weekend with
Mr.'and Mrs, John Park and took
part in the Snowmobile Poker
Rally at St. Helens.
Congratulations to Ronnie and
Lori -Lynn Maize (nee Brown) who
were married on Saturday at
Knox Presbyterian Church with
the reception following at the
Legion Hall, Goderich.
Mr, Harold Errington returned
home from Wingham Hospital on
Saturday. He is to go to hospital
in London this Week for further
tests. •
Mrs. Harold Errington is in
hospital in London where she
underwent surgery last Monday.
Her many friends wish her a good
recovery.
Mr. and Mrs. Allan McNee,
Edward and Paul of London,
visited on the weekend with
Sandra's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Kitchener Finnigan, Goderich
and Allan's parent's, Mr. and
Mrs. Graham McNee.

the weekend with Mrs, Mary
Bere and Jamie. Local members
of the family joined in a family
gathering on Sunday.

Church
For the second Sunday in Lent,
Rev. C. G. Westhaver preached
on the subject, "Landmarks of
the Christian Life - Baptism and
Confirmation". With Miss Irene
Logtenberg at -the organ the choir
sang, "Joyful,. ;joyful, we adore
Thee". The children's story was
"If you could' make a wish".
,There will be .no choir practice
until further notice.
The Women's World Day of
Prayer will be held in the United
--Church on Friday, March 3rd, at
2.00 p.m.
A 'Suggestion Box" has' been
placed at the back of the church to
be used for any suggestions to
improve the life and work of -our
congregation. The UCW ladies
are particularly anxious to know if
the younger women of the church
would be interested in forming a
group of their. own.
The first session of the
Communicants Class met in. the
Dungannon Sunday School room
on Sunday evening at 6.30 p.m.
with 14 young people in attend-
ance. The class will 'have six
sessions leading, up to reception
of members at Easter.

Fellowship
The church group, with some of
their friends, enjoyed an evening
of fun and fellowship on Saturday
at a skating party in the Lucknow
Arena. There were about seventy
present and the few who did ,not
skate participated in some games.
After tvyo hours on the ice' the
entire group enjoyed a welcome
and tasty lunch.
• Laverne Martin is once again
training the choir in preparation
for some Easter music.
The weekly adult Bible Study
will be held this week at the home
of Richard Thomson.
Pastor Lawrence's message on
Sunday morning was once again
taken from the fifth chapter of
Matthew. Following several dis-
courses on the Beatitudes, verse
16 was used ,as the 4ext.

DUNGANNON 1 4.11 CLUB
The second meeting on Febru-
ary 18th , at Dungannon United
Church opened. with the 4-H
pledge. Thirteen members an-
' swered the roll call naming and
describing one or more quilted
articles they had at home.
Sylke Becker read the minutes
of the last meeting. The secretary
for this week is Betty Errington.
The next meeting will be held at
Mrs. George Errington's at 9.30
a.m. on February 25.
It was decided to call the 'club,
"Dungannon Living . Le'ends" .
