The happy Heart's Club of
Ripley entertained the Kincardine
Merry Kin .and Lucknow Town
and Country Clubs'- on Friday
ev'ening, February 10th at the
Ripley District High, School audi-
torium. Nearly 200 people attend-
ed and were welcomed by Mrs.
W. Arnold and Reg, Moore at the

VALENTINES DAY IS ALMOST
HERE!
Valentines Day is here again
and the children at school will be
giving out Valentine Cards, On
February 14, 1978 all the classes
will be going, with luck, skating.
From everyone at Ripley, You're
our Valentine.
SPECIAL EDUCATION
The class went outside to play
"Ground Hog" on February 2,
1978 and found that they couldn't
see their shadows even if the
groundhog could. Jim MacKenzie
thought the snow was very, pretty .
and wrote us a poem.

nursing has been brought about
by the government cutbacks
reducing staff and consequently
resulting in poor nursing care:
There will be another meeting
concerning the College's proposal
in Hanover on February 22 and in
Kitchener, February 8.
Early in March there will be an
RNAO meeting in Kincardine.

In junior floor hockey about -half
the games have been played.
Team six is leading 'with 8 points
and team three with 6 points.
Nine games in Primary hockey
have been played.
SNOW WEEK
The kids in Mrs. J. MacDon-
ald's class this week have been
having "Snow Week", which
consists of 4 teams that will be
competing against each other.

band, introduced by Mrs. Violet
MacKenzie, provided ( lively
musical program with Mrs,
Sheldon (Donna) Benjamin and
her guitar, Walter DeWolvfe with
his violin, and David Benjamin
playing traps , and drums, They
sang solos and duets such as
"One Day • at a Time", "Side-
walks of Old London Town",
"Lucille", "The Truck Drivin
Man" and many other songs. In
fact they had the whole audience
singing before the concert was
over. Mrs. Ned' (Elaine) Cote's
lovely voice was•a fine part of the
concert s she sang several
numbers. I am sure everyone
enjoyed• the program very much.
Dancing followed, led by the
band.
Lunch was served by the
committee in charge, Mrs. Frank
Scott, Mrs. Ea"rl Tout, Mrs. Violet
MacKenzie, Mrs. Margaret Blue,
Christina Robertson, Mrs. Sam
Emerson, Reg Moore and Mr.
and Mrs. Lloyd Arnold.
The next big event for the
Happy Hearts will be a euchre
party on Feburary 23rd.
