On Thursday, January 26th the
Lucknow Bantams went .to Tiver-
ton where they were soundly
fleeced 8-2.
Scoring for Lucknow were Ed
Davidson unassisted, and Paul
Finlay with 'the assist . going to
Brian Taylor.
On Monday, January 30 the
Lucknow Bantams jc :Ad to
Teeswater where, Lney were
defeated 9-5. They played a very
close first 2 periods but lost out in
the 3rd.
Scoring for Lucknow were Allan
Rivett, Mike Humphrey., Kent
Alton, Brian Taylor and Glen
Raypard with assists going to
David Pritchard, Kent Alton,
Allan Rivett, Ed Davidson and
Allan Eadie.
On Tuesday Teeswater return-
ed to Lucknow and were the
victors in a hard fought 3 to 1
battle. Our ' boys .played an
excellent game of hockey.
Scoring Lucknow's single goal
was Allan Eadie assisted by Kent
Alton.

The whole Ripley Tyke, team
got into the action Friday night
when they beat Tiverton Tykes 11
- 4. Goalie Vince Wright made
some good saves as Clint Twolen
with 4 goals and Todd Farrell with
3 goals and 1 assist led the
scoring. Stephen Keelan made 2
goals ,and 2 assists, while Doug
Sorbara and Corey Cuyler ,each
had 1 goal and 1 assist. Every
other team member had assists,
- Darren Cook, 3; Stephen Courney •,
2; and Tony Pollock, Mark
Dahmer, Dave. Hodgins, Dwayne,
Lowry, Donald Martyri, Jeff
Chalmers, Gerry Meurs, Brad
Stanley and Jeff Verbeek one a
piece. Good work, guys.
In Atom "A" play, Lucknow
beat Ripley 5 - 1. Geoff Denstedt
got the lone tally for Ripley on a
'pass from Mitch Twolen.
The Atom "B" fared better
with Kincardine, doubling the
score 6-3. Brian Barnes with 2
goals and 1 assist, and Robbie
Brooks with 2 goals led the attack.
Johnny Forste and Paul Gamble
scored the other single markers.
Ross Farrell, Darryl Verbeek and
Steve Cover, made the assists.
In the first game of the Pee
Wee "A". playoffs against Blyth,
Larry Coiling scored the first goal
of the game, from Terry Irwin and
Kevin Boyle. That was the
beginning of the end, however, as
Blyth scored 5 unanswered goals
to take the•,first game 5-1. Back in
Blyth it was a different story,
Ripley 6, Blyth 2. Gary Rutledge
scored twice and made 1 assist,
Terry Irwin scored once and made
2 assists, ' Larry Coiling 1 and 1,
Paul Harris 1 and 1, and Kevin
Boyle also scored one goal.
The .Kincardine Kiltie Komets
came down to play the Pee Wee
``E" team, and left without
letting them on the scoreboard.
Final score, 5 - 0.
In Bantam D playoffs, Blyth put ,
them out ,two games straight,
with Dave Gamble scoring the
only Ripley goal from Ian Elliott
and Paul Irwin. Better luck next
year, felt .
In the fi ..1 game of the regular
schedule, the Juvenile boys
played Port Elgin to a 4-4 tie. Port
Elgin got the first two goals of the
game in the first period, and in
the second, Mark Stanley and
Brian. Coiling combined for the
only marker. In the third period it
was Port Elgin opening the
scoring. Two minutes later Robert
Regier took a pass' from Robbie
Lowry and scored, then it was
Port Elgin's tura again. Goals by
Mark. Stanley from Brian Coiling
and Robert Regier, and,the tieing
one by Keith Pollock from Brian
Coiling and Chris McGarvey,
completed the game.
The Juveniles start the playoffs
with Teeswater on Friday night,
with the home game in Ripley
Sunday night. at 8 p.m. Robbie
Sutton and Danny Boyd share the
net -minding duties for the Juven-
iles, with Larry Farrell, Mark
Stanley, Robert Regier, Btian
Coiling, Christ McGarvey, Keith
Pollock, Robbie Lowry, Rick
Clampitt and Captain Mike Pol-
lock making up the rest of the
team, John Kelly is coach,
Wallace Pollock is manager, and
John D. MacKay and Howard •
Harrison take over in their
absence.
