FRESHNESS UMITEO
by Jackie Miltenburg
Gr. 4, St. Joseph's
It was Christmas Eve
2015. My mom and I were
putting.up the automatic
Christmas tree. John (my
brother) was using the
automatic present wrapper
and Liz (my sister) was
singing carols. My five
year old brother was
putting his hidden camera
in his stocking. He was
determined to see Santa.
Me, of course I do not
believe in Santa. Duh!
Weli...maybe a little hit.
Then the news carne on.
It said, "Santa will have
cows instead of reindeer!"
1 tell you, he gets weirder
every year.
"I'm gonna see Santa,"
said Don.
"In your dreams
Waldo" said John •
"Grr...I'Il..,you'II see!
said Don
"Kids!" said mom,
• "stop your fighting! Now
hang up your super big
stockings." • said mom
calming down. "After that
put out some cookies and
milk. 1 have to go to the
Karn. Oh my, we are out of
cookies! Liz, be a dear and
make some cocikies. 1'm
going to the barn. Bye!"
Liz said, "We hetter
make -those cookies. 1)on
will you help me hake?.."

Don interrupted her.
"Me bake!!, I don't think
so! Why don't we use the
bak-o-bot" Don said.
"Stop calling it a bak-o-
bot! said Liz.
"Well, it is a bak-o-
bot!" said Don.
"Oh all right," said Liz,
as she gave in.
Christmas night John,
lay awake and listened to
every sound. He heard the
house settle, the wind and
a pini k. A JINGLE!!! H.
ran to the living room. The
jingle was louder "Is that
Santa's reindeer?" asked
John out loud.
Moo, Moo, Moo! '
"Nope, that must be
Santa's cows."
Suddenly, Santa came
down the elevator in the
chimney with a jolly "Ho
Ho Ho."
John was right! This
was going to be the hest
Christmas ever!!
`Twos the Night
Before Christmas
by (trades 1. & 2, St: Joseph's
'Twas the night before Christmas the story was told.
Mary and Joseph travelled to Bethlehem to he counted.
Mary Felt very tired, weak and very pregnant. She knew
her baby was coming soon.
"Joseph, can you find rhe a place to rest''"
"I'in trying as hard as 1 can to find us a place to stay.
}low about this inn'!"
"This looks line, let's see if they have a room."
Joseph went to the door and knocked. An innkeeper,
with a growly voice, told Joseph that he didn't have any
room for thein.
"Hut I'm truing tor have a baby soon, we must get a
room!"
They moved down the street to the next hotel but the
same thing happened again. So Mary and Joseph went
to yet another motel which was also full. But they were
offered a stable for .the night. And Jesus was horn.
Suddenly a great big star appeared. The nice motel
keeper was surprised to see a hahy wrapped in cloths in
a manger. Wisernen and shepherds carne from afar and
celebrated that Jesus Christ the Saviour •was horn. Mary
felt relieved that her baby was horn in a sale and warm
place.
